Decompressing for a few days in Cancun. Perfect balcony set up while the little one naps for a smoke. 
 

I have had  a couple of nudies mareva fuertes and Siglo IVs (no pic), excellent QdO 50 right on the 3.5 years mark (which for me is where I can start enjoying them, but this is based on not enough examples), and an excellent RASS from a 2020 50cab.

My 50th and last RASS from a MSU JUL 19 cabinet. It was a great run of cigars. Still have one full cab from 2020 and a few partial cans of various years going back to 2009. May need to get into the hunt for another cab, really a big fan of the RASS.

I just happened upon it in the humidor. No transitions and it was pretty bland. Unlike many of the other melanio vitolas I've smoked.

Casa Fuente 806 Maduro - this one recently released (at least widely released, I believe), though with aged tobaccos.

Wow.  While there are just slight progressions, the consistent wonderful flavors and strength are thoroughly enjoyable.  One of the best NC's I've had this year.  I felt none of the bitterness that Charlie Minato mentioned in his review of an earlier version of this cigar (2012) -- just wonderful unctuousness -- nuts, spice, umami and power (with very minimal pepper), and just perfect construction.  The first 2 thirds put it the running for best new (at least newly, commonly available) NC IMO; the last 3rd is still pending

...The last 3rd becomes a tad more mellow, moving from an 8 strength to a 5+ (IMO), though the delicious flavors, almost pure baking spices, are still there and the retros pick up a "clean" version of twang (what?!?) -- to me.  Unusual I know, but it brings a reminiscent sense of what I love about excellent CCs in the remaining retros (again, to me).

One well worth finding in my opinion. 

In fairness, I had no expectations when I lit this cigar.  Perhaps that affected my enjoyment of it.
