Smoked some excellent cigars I brought to Cuba.
UAO 2019 Esplendidos was by far the best of the trip and might end up being the best of 2023. It was my first cigar of 2023 along with a 17 RASS which was excellent in its own right.
A 20 Esmeralda was great, an old opus 2015 Double robusto was outstanding as well as a HUPC. The Mag46 from 2017 has aged beautifully and might have been in my top 3 of the trip. The 2019 Romeo 2020 year of the rat was very enjoyable as well. Cheers to 2023.

Monday Bpc

After a nice trade with @david9985, a lunchtime Trinidad Reyes from MUP MAY 19. This is definitely the scrappy little brother in the Trinidad line up: punchier than the other vitolas, a little more savoury in register, some dark roast coffee flavours that none of the others have. But still lots of complexity and interest, and a genuinely distinctive smoke. Good construction here, an even burn, and a definite transition into more richness in the middle section. Very satisfying.

After more than 2 weeks of the flu, finally trying a cigar again... probably still a bit early for me to start again, but it just smelled so good out of the humidor. With Dip rum from Venezuela.
