jimb2u Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 My next cigars today were a '11 BHK 52 with a Macallan 25 and an '06 QDO Panatella and a 1996 Oban Distiller's Ed...I having a very nice Tuesday :-)
MountMandolin Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Non-Cuban, but it deserves mention in here anyway, in my most humble of opinions. I can't always have a Cuban since I'm Stateside and can only store about 450 cigars in my humidors. I've built up a nice list of NCs that I think are excellent, and this is one of the most recent additions. Really gorgeous toasty tobacco taste, with some sweetness to it, and no excessive pepper, which to me is the most obnoxious characteristics of bad NCs. Try one sometime, if you're so inclined.

jimb2u Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Final cigar for today..moving toward the lighter side as I finish up with a '11 Hoyo short Piramides LE and an espresso ( I need to drive home in @ an hour ;-)
Lotusguy Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 EP Carillo Short Run 2013 Robusto. As opposed to all previous EP Carillos that I tried before, this one was pretty bad. Bummer!
CanuckSARTech Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Art, this is Keith...it's already expected...this is a man who included fuzzy handcuffs in a cigar bomb! I would expect no less from him Your welcome. And I also had a knack of some mail-stalker help with Simon's last treat too....

Contrary to popular belief, there are some good ones out there. Thanks for the heads up.
maverickdrinker Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 2009 Edicion Regional Reino Unido El Rey Del Mundo Choix de L'Epoque
UpInSmoak Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 A battered and beaten up Boli PC. Smoking gloriously though. Love these sticks
Charltonc Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 2009 Edicion Regional Reino Unido El Rey Del Mundo Choix de L'Epoque . What did you think, I really enjoyed the one I tried.
jrb5783 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Partagas LE 2012 I have now smoked all the LEs for 2012 the monte 520 is my favorite but this a close second for me
Tino Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Yesterday, a Bolivar Lonsdale 2002 that spent some time in the refrigerator, was poked with a skewer, massaged and had sweet nothings whispered to it. Still too tight so was binned and replaced with a PSD4 from 2012 that was on point.
jimb2u Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I was fortunate to be given a great Davidoff Chateau Margaux (unk year) by a very generous BOTL that was was a great first cigar of the day (i had actually just started the Monte i smoked next but wanted as clean a palate as possible) with a Macallan 25 and then I followed it up with the Monte Grand Edmundo that I am smoking now with a Glenfiddich cask of dreams. Sorry about the poor quality of the pic I was focused on the cigar...and then it was gone :-(
Surucipe Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Monte Open Regata while playing golf (bought as single, no idea about box code) - I know these are generally not liked much but i must say I really enjoyed this one. Tried the Open Master as well a couple of months ago but didn't like it at all, much prefer the Regata.
riazp Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Bolivar Corona Junior on my balcony while enjoying the sun and revising my notes for my final today
Ophidion Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 05 boli corona to celebrate Simons birthday. Smooth and creamy 100% satisfying. I wish I had bought more
investandprosper Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Mind blowing HdM Epicure No. 2 from a 2012 box. Heavy with oils and delicious creamy goodness.
jrb5783 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 My first RA grandes it's good but I like the VR maestros better
jimb2u Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 My final cigar of the evening ( and this trip home) was another off the '06 QDO Panatella's with an expresso
Surucipe Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 A non-convincing Trini Reyes (single, no box date). Perhaps these need some more sleep but for now this one had a sharp taste and didn’t really any smooth flavors at all.
cognacscotchcigars Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Mind blowing HdM Epicure No. 2 from a 2012 box. Heavy with oils and delicious creamy goodness. Nice. This is good to know. I have a box in route from LFTW.
