An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Montecristo Double Edmundo. Here is the thing about this cigar: I loved it and hated it at the same time. I don't know if you guys would agree with me but it starts absolutely wonderful, full of flavor with that Monty special signature on it: cocoa, leather, creamy, milk chocolate and just a nuance of coffee. Then comes the last third: awful. It loses itself, a peppery tastes comes in messing with the good flavors, the burn ring starts to colapse, the draw becomes tight, ruined the end of the experience. I wish it ended in the end of the second third and I must admit that the regular Edmundo vitola is much better.

Smoked one last night and although it burned a little wonky in the last third it didn’t get unpleasant in flavor.  I retroed to the end and never got the pepper that you did. I agree that I prefer Edmundo but I enjoyed the DE.

Testing the maduro N1. Better than the first one. I think with time these will shine. Prefer the rosado for now.

I have been thinking the same after my last Maduro. I still prefer the Rosado, but the Maduro came so far in 6 months.

Busy day doing some work outside and getting a car ready to put away for the winter. Also had our double doors replace with a new very wide single door with four dead bottles that work together automatically. Happy with the upgrade.
Enjoyed an RAE MAR 15 Punch Punch from a cab.

What kind of car did you put away Gary? No snow tires? Lol

Ohhh nooo..... That's were very NC-esque. In fact, that's the most NC-esque characteristic I can think of.  And this is one cc that I am looking forward to trying. Box date? Just curious. At least you had like 5- 6" of good cigar. That's more than most.

No clue about box data since was a single from a local B&M. It’s a great cigar, don’t get me wrong… the end of it was a bit disappointing but I would try again to see if it was an isolated case of this specific unit.

Nice Sunday morning with VR Famosos BSM AGO 20...

Always wanted to try the VR Famosos but they’re almost impossible to find these days. When they hit 24:24 they’re over in less than a minute. They seem to get a lot of love from folks here.

Nice!  Is that real wood? We did this about 2 years ago, but the contractor told us our overhang wasn’t large enough to use real wood. He said the warranty would be void.  I always wondered if that was true b/c I hate the look of most aluminum doors so ended up paying more for aluminum that looks just like real wood than I would have paid for the real thing.
