I did get some peanut flavour in there, but to be honest I'd have to let it rest some more to give a better chance. Think it needs some time to acclimate a bit. It's Caol Ila turned up -- tastes like a cask strength official bottling. I need to sit down with it in a couple weeks and really take some notes to form an opinion beyond "it's really good". It's my second "Old Particular". My first was the Ledaig 12 hogshead. Now that's incredible and complex. And still in stock at K&L. (Charleston got lucky with late wobbles in Hurricane Ian. Thinking of all the folks in Florida and Puerto Rico ...and Turks and others. These past few weeks look to have been really, really rough for those severely affected by the storms. (My family and I have been through a Cat 5, and eventually made it through, able to build back. I don't wish that on anyone.) Boli Royal Corona (2014 tubo I'd held for quite some time).
