The RyJ petit royales have been surprisingly good for me. These came from our host on a smokin’ deal I could not pass up a few years ago.  I think they are 2018 box code. Little wood, bit of spice and always a nice, straight burn.

I’m getting to the end of a box with the same code and the same dark oily wrappers. They have been 5-star fantastic.

Some recent smokes:

- Partagas Shorts MUR SEP 13, less rich than younger examples, but a lovely herbal aroma and still quite a spicy kick.

- Partagas D4 LTE FEB 22, fairly light wrapper. I’d have guessed these were 5 years old. Quite evolved, relatively light bodied. Near term smoking.

- Monte #2 SMA NOV 18, classic milk chocolate Monte flavours and medium body, a v good refined smoke in the Saturday afternoon sun.
