This was one of them, with a tendency to burning hot. Had to let go out and relight a few times. But still, man, what a great blend! Going strong with complexity and depth. I always get some fennel/anise and mace notes with them, with a hint of Fundie greatness. Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted July 10, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted July 10, 2022 Was looking for a reason to break out the Casilda I brought with me before risking losing it at customs, returning to the US. Today, we arrived in Mallorca, and this hotel we are staying in, is just in a class of it's own. We stay at a lot of 5 star hotels, but this one is just above and beyond any Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental I have been to. They should make a 6th star rating just for this one hotel, or maybe the chain, assuming they are all similar. So anyway, I figured that was a good enough reason to break out the Casilda. The box was missing when I came in but the owner said it had recently landed and that its either mar or abr 22, and judging by recent arrivals at other b&m in the region I'm guessing it's RAT. Cold draw and first half is sweet. A kind of unknown sweet. Molasses? Raisin? Spicy cake? I don't know! It's intriguing and enjoyable so I'll take it for what it is.
