While the north of Australia struggles with flooding, we had a nice sunny day in the south. Warm enough to ponder the irony of smoking a nice Party Short with a coffee while wearing active wear. Ha ha! Dressed for the gym then decided there was better use of the day! Cheers

Connie A, obviously. Do I love these? No I don’t. This box (EPM ABR 18) smells great and construction is good too. They have the classic Upmann almond character. The cigar is perfectly pleasant, but somehow lacking in interest. The big fat cigar seems to burn down just as quickly as a PC.  I’d rather have a Connie 1 most of the time.

Meh.  I've smoked through over 20 boxes of Esmeraldas, and some are toothier than others.  This is far from the toothiest I have smoked.  As long as they taste good, I'm not too judgmental.

The Oscuro JL#2 had to get some bright sunlight to show some color. A 6er from 2019 maybe. I have had only a few and this one is showing very well.

Last night, I smoked a N3 Ebony Carlota. This one—now in my possession for 6 months—was amazingly better than the one that I smoked 3 months ago. I was thinking that the maduro version was not for me, but aging these Nudies changed my opinion. What a delicious smoke. Bravo Rob and Hamlet!

A Churchill seemed apropos this morning. Paired with a fine craft mineral water. ESL ABR 19 a PSP offering from our host. So far an excellent box example of this marca. Complexity and construction in spades.

There are a lot of variables but time is on your side. I have a box of 2018 which were meh until recently tried one to find they are starting to really smoke nice. If i remember i will cut one soon and revisit to post. As a side note i had a UAO JUN 19 Cohiba Esplendidos for 4th ready for a treat? Not ready for prime time imo, all elbows right now. Will check again in 2024
