Popular Post Kaptain Karl Posted June 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2022 Very strange ‘18 RASS. Tasted like tar from the pre light on. A few decent puffs and a few I had to clean my mouth out after. This RASS cab just never turned on! Of course after I post the tar disappeared and became pretty pleasant. 21

Popular Post Ford2112 Posted June 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2022 LFD Double Ligero. I enjoyed this cigar for an hour and a half. Sweet opening tried, built in intensity, with coffee and white pepper notes. Final third was more of the same, only got gnarly at the very end. I rested it for a number of months before smoking it. 21
Popular Post RichG Posted June 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2022 Rio Seco from the FoH 21 Christmas sampler. Not my typical ring gauge, but excellent flavor and construction on this one. 28

Popular Post winelover Posted June 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 16, 2022 I love smoking DCs when given the chance. These days laptop is usually in hand, there is work to do, but it is so much nicer to have one of the great Cuban cigars of the world to help one's day along. It is a woody / creamy smoke with a lovely mouthfeel, beautifully balanced and a touch under medium bodied for the first half and becoming medium to medium full and right on full at the finale. Really perfect. 29

Though, had my last one about two years ago. Frankly, I enjoyed it very much. As you stated, there were definitely mixed reactions to this cigar upon it’s release. Would have described it as overwhelming, unbalanced, linear, dull. The overall construction was always on point mind you. Exceptional draw and burn producing a thick abundant amount of smoke. After going through a box and a half of these over the years, I definitely noticed a significant improvement in the overall balance of the cigar. The strength is now subdued allowing for a smoother transition between flavours. Although lacking in complexity, it has evolved in a very enjoyable full bodied smoking experience. Hope this helps, my brother. 1
