But for certain cigars like monte edmundo/petite Edmundo dark wrappers can be nice. But yeah, I don't seek them out. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk I happen to agree with you. Some of the best Cuban's I ever smoked. Boxes of CORO, Espy, a 50 cab of JL #2 from 2008, Punch Punch, Monte Edmundo's, Romeo short Churchills, Wide Churchills, RASS, Trinidad Robustos extra, Robustos T, Reyes. You get the picture. Not sure why, but I believe it let's well blended cigars show their intended taste. On the other hand, I've had dark wrapped cigars I didn't like, turn fantastic years down the road. Also comes down to a matter of preference imo.

I've been avoiding dark wrappers for over 10 years. Whenever I have flavor or burn issues 2/3 times it's with dark wrappers. I don't recall really caring much either way until about 2010.

I don't have much from the olden days (before 1998), but I haven't seen much or any dark wrappers 1998-2008 except for those early ELs. Edit: now even regular production Cohibas come in light and dark wrappers.

Popular Post CampDelta369
La Fuerza circa 2018? very nice. i have noticed a bit more of a nico hit from SC marca than others with this and La Punta. Both being full flavored as well. Just an observation.

Popular Post Glass Half Full
Well, I'm writing to recant (or at least update ) earlier posts in which I expressed displeasure (a rarity for me) as a bit of warning about a specific box code of Connie A's bought back in 2018 at the Caracol in Trinidad (BRE Ago 2018). ...This just goes to show, be patient and (sometimes) good things will come... Like the last 12 from that box, this one too was plugged ...but unlike the rest, a perfect draw quickly and easily solved the problem, ...and (best of all) I finally got a taste of why people have posted about enjoying this cigar. The 13th try was a charm I've taken to bringing a backup when lighting one of those Connie A's. Wasn't necessary today, ...but was fun nonetheless. QdO SGA Dic 2016 -- Always love a secreto -- little flavor bombs -- though this one's more nuanced (in a good way).
