bigfunkyg Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Smoking a 07 BBF on my partly finished deck right now. Very dissapointing. Starting to loose faith in these.
SamuraiJack Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Had an H. Upmann Majestic, no idea where I got it, it was boring and terrible.
LeafLover Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Boli PC. Czar box. Quality really does depend on your retailer/vendor. Fantastic!
gk404 Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Just finished an H.Upmann Mag 50 while watching some footy. Beautiful cigar, nice flavours without being over the top. So far I've smoked 3 out of the 5 I brought back from my last trip to Cuba and they've all been fantastic. I should have bought a cab...
PartagasIV Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 So far today out on the balcony, 06 PLPC, 08 VR DA, and now 09 Spanish RE Punch Gran Robusto. Latter two are very good, PLPC was 'meh'.
bassman Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 09 trini T robusto. what a glorious smoke They are VERY nice smokes. For me today an 06 RyJ Cazadores, which was excellent & a rather uneventful 07 RASCC.
Stalebread Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Yesterday morning: RA Belicoso, the '05 UK version. Getting more mellow but still loaded with flavor.
perfectform Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Finishing up an ABR 07 Bolivar PC from a 50 cab. Super rich, strong and earthy, with a very slight note of that orange peel I find in Bolivars in the final third. A little raw on the back end of the palate, but how I can't wait for 2012 to gorge myself on these.
ChanceSchmerr Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Out on the water, helping my grandfather sail his boat down to get it hauled outta the water, Smoked a Punch Diadema RE Italy.....Very nice cigar with loads of flavour! The cap was cracked (something i didn't notice until unwrapping the gold foil) but it smoked wonderfully with great Punch flavours and a nice sour note that I've noticed on a couple Punches now. Followed up a little later with a lightweight Diplo #3 from 1999. Age has erased all edgyness from this cigar, but it still satisfies with a nutty, toasted tobacco taste. A good Day! Thanks to Alberto_Magnus for the trade on that Punch Diademas!
samb Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 A wonderful LGC MdO 1 with a mediocre glass of shiraz. This LGC is my first experience with this marca, and I must say that being from 02, the age has done wonders, so I think, and this smoke is an explosion of complexity and flavor!
Mr.T Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Had a nice Siglo IV paired up with some Zacapa rum.....very nice. The smoke was great with plenty of strength. Good burn and draw, although the cigar went out a couple times, but this didn't detract from the overall experience. Nice grassy, earthy and spicy profile. I love the Siglo IV. This is one cigar I will always go to when I have the chance.
lemmycaution Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 A great Partagas SDC#3. I should have stocked up
thechenman Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Smoked a Trinidad Fundadore yesterday eveining with friends. The draw was tight. Might have been construction, but more than likely it was due to the high humidity outdoors yesterday. Paired nicely with a very complex brew. A collaborative effort between Dogfish Head, Victory and Stone called Saison du BUFF. Sadly i enjoyed he beer more than the cigar.
bassman Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 04 Esplendido during my morning walk, then after lunch opened a cab of MAR 08 BPCs. Strong little guys!
bigfunkyg Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Weedend Smokes: Friday Night - Trinidad Robusto T (unknown Box, single). OK, but was hoping for more. I can see these getting much better with a bit of age, but always tough to judge a cigar after only trying once. 88 Followed that up with a RnJ PC (07 Box). Made me think that these when this good are quite underrated and I'm might just find another box because I'm almost out. 90 Saturday Night - Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios. I believe these are an 07 box as well. Hadn't smoked one in about 10 months but I was hoping to see some improvement. Really not seeing any fireworks from these and would definately not spend the money on a box of these again. 87 Sunday Afternoon - Montecristo Tubos (07 Box). Pretty solid little smoke. Missing a bit of the Monte-esque flavours but was very pleasant through 2/3 and didn't finish great. 88 Next weekend, is my first Fathers Day as a father. Bring out the CoRo's! G
perfectform Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 SCDLH El Principe and some Havana Club 7 tonight.
MIKA27 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Last night enjoyed a DIP2. Damn I love those cigars!
lemmycaution Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 A delicious 08 Punch RS12. I have smoked a few out of a psp box and they have all been fantastic. This one seemed even better-perfect draw, burn, and lots of flavor.
samb Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Outstanding Diplo 5 with brandy. So not looking forward to jury duty.
ChanceSchmerr Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Smoked a HDM Regalos 07 LE over lunch at work. Wrapper was cracked/partially gone thanks to Canada Post's wonderful handling, but it smoked very nicely, lots of sweet, candied nut flavours. Spot on with the HDM tast profile. Quite enjoyed it!

Really like these things - have 2 full boxes and one from which I 'sip gently'. I reckon they are going to be crackers in a couple of years.
