Got a handful of NCs with my latest boveda order for free shipping and The Wise Man Maduro Lancero was up.  It was bland and left a tar-ish taste in my mouth.  Got through as much as I could before switching it up to a much better party short.  Still had some of the tar taste in my mouth, but got some of the normal short flavors in there...sooo much better.  Sucks since I've heard good things about the Wise Man, but oh well NCs(besides the nudies that need to rest longer) just dont do it for me anymore.

I think the issue with Cuaba is that there just isn't any flavor.  I haven't had one that was foul or poorly put together, they just don't taste like anything...with one exception... I picked up one of the recent Distinguidos offerings on 24:24 and I'm looking forward to giving them another try since they are the only Cuabas I've had with ANY flavor.  If they can't compete with the Partagas Presidentes for humidor space, this will be my last Cuaba purchase.

Bolivar Royal Corona, from an ETP AGO 16 tubo. Nice rich smoke, quite savoury, leather and earth. Over medium for sure,  but not savage. Great construction, and would go on for years.

Mag 46 box from LCDH Playa Del Carmen my partner visited last month. Tastes like it’s got some age on it but the death warning stickers covered most of the box. Great tasting cigar though!

GEM ENE 20. Good smoke for sure, but at the prices now I would never pay for them. I got these in Cuba a few years back. Stick with the A. Even those are getting pricey mind you. But a wonderful cigar.

Yerandy G BHK52 and Canonazo, came in about two weeks ago.  Lovely cigars, the roll is exceptional.  BHK52 is ready to smoke now, burned very well and had upfront, smooth flavor.  The Canonazo was good until the half way mark where is got bitter and started burning wonky - think those guys need more time.  These were my first YG sticks and I’m sold.

RyJ TES MAR 17. Excellent. Quite full-on still. Reminds me how Romeo can be quite a big smoke. Proper red fruit, rose petals and middle eastern spice though.
