Wondering where you rank it in their lineup …..it’s all the rave on the forum these days Always a treat with a little age and blended well. My preference when on is the 898 for regular production 1

Popular Post Digi Posted February 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 24, 2022 Early Thursday afternoon here and decided to light up something a bit special. LGC Orgullosos - MSU SEP 18. It is....glorious😁. Was absolutely fascinated to read half-wheel's take on the cigar: https://halfwheel.com/la-gloria-cubana-orgullosos-er-suiza-2018/299464/ It really couldn't be further from what I'm experiencing. Scored it a 66 which I'd guess is one of the lower scoring cigars they've reviewed - for me, it's easily in the all time top 10. It was done in 2019 and could be that age made the difference or just box-to-box QC. No construction issues here, the draw was firm (not plugged) and opened up a bit after lighting. Did dry box the stick for 3 days or so. HW also described the cigar as medium-full, to me it ended up a solid medium but 1/2 of the stick was under medium. Lovely, balanced, well integrated complexity of wood, sweet stone fruits, citrus tang, fleeting floral notes, and a bready/oatmeal foundation. This cigar has a beautiful, long finish or wood, leather, and very mild coffee. The body and profile build slowly as the cigar is smoked, it keeps me coming back for more and I need to be mindful of speed. Looks like this stick will total out at just over 2 hours of fun. What a way to start some vacation time! 24

Popular Post Glass Half Full Posted February 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 25, 2022 Enjoying this VR Famoso (ARS Jun 2018). I recall being a bit underwhelmed when these were young but a few years seem to make a big difference (to me, at least). (Years on the cigar that is though who knows?) Got these for just over US$5 each at Conde Villanueva. Miss that place. ps: A bit of bitterness took hold at the end of the Famoso (more age needed?) ...So, what the heck? Added a Siglo I (MEL Dic 2016; from our hosts), which brings subtle but very pleasant strength to finish the sunset. 25
Popular Post Goodfortune Posted February 25, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 25, 2022 Punch Punch SOP NOV 2019 is hitting the spot. Pairing nicely with a cocktail that I am trying for the first time, The Godfather. 2 parts blended scotch whiskey, 1 part Disaronno. 🥃 Have a great weekend FOH! 28

Popular Post LLC Posted February 26, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2022 Since we seem to be on a Punch Punch run, I’ll add a RAE MAR 15 from a cabinet of 50. Very good again. 29
