Fantastic TUA MAY 20 BPC, better than the ENE 20 BBF’s I’ve had recently. Tons of sweetness the BBF is currently missing.

For my taste the recent BPC smoking better than BBF. Not so sure about getting much sweetness in current BBF blend. Time will tell on my two boxes!

First quarter so far is great, flavor and construction both spot on. I’ve tried the hlp 60, Alex flying pig, and Alex 109 so far. I didn’t like either of the Alex offerings at all but the hlp was one of the best cigars I’ve had I immediately ordered more.

This (unfortunately work day) morning I reached for another NC (just saw CoRo boxes almost broke $700 at 24:24...just heartbreaking, I might be smoking nothing but NCs if that trend continues)

But I digress, I pulled a Sinistro Honor Among Thieves toro, and these are damned fine sticks. The best one I had a couple years back tasted like rich spicy butterscotch! This one could have probably used more rest but still very good. I recommend checking out the brand to anyone open to NCs, they are making some great stuff.

Wish it were that.  ...Well, not really, but I do look back fondly on those days (probably misremembering how tough they could be :)   

I was just quoting a poem, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening," ...I had just returned from the frigid, snowy north-east where I'd been up to help care for my dad (who was 96) ...while at the same time my wife's mother broke her hip and had to be hospitalized for several weeks, ...all with the complication of Covid-safety procedures.  (And we had her 87-year old dad move in with us so we could help him.  Don't get me wrong.  Her dad is a wonderful person, and I'm so glad he came to stay with us.  There was just a lot going on.) 

When my wife and I became "empty nesters" some years ago, and I then (foolishly) thought how easy life was going to  be.  That is, until we learned that the next step is taking more and more care of aging parents, ...and (last week) managing hospice.  TMI, sorry.  

Well, that's why the "time out" with a cigar yesterday was so very welcome -- and it was the first since getting out of my own Covid isolation in the beginning of January.  (It really was a #@#! month.)

There's still much to be done ("miles to go" ) but I'll take the breaks when they come, ...and thank goodness for a good cigar.
