Popular Post Edicion Posted January 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 15, 2022 Cracked open a box of Royal Robustos 2020 obtained from our gracious host. Forgot how good they are. Paired with some Argentinian Cabernet Franc. After a few glasses of the 14.9% I didn't even care that the draw was "snug". 30

potpest Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 How was it? I'm on the hunt for some of these.Excellent, only had one in the singles draw but had me wondering why I often look past Cuaba. I've had younger examples but definitely better with a few years on them. 1

I can’t speak for @Cigarsmoker81, but any I’ve had or others have had while I was with them have never had a construction issue. In addition to that, they are very enjoyable cigars. 2
Popular Post shortsmokes Posted January 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 16, 2022 Half corona from one of the last 24:24s of 2021. When I bought these I told myself I was going to give them a proper rest. I'm impressed that I even made it a full 2 weeks without digging in. I'm glad I didn't wait any longer. I forget the exact box date but it's late 2021. Who says you need to rest or age your stock? This blew that assumption out of the water. Smoked like a dream from first light down to nub. I should've bought another box. I can't wait to see how these change with some time, but I'll never make it to that point without another box because these are good enough right now to go into my regular rotation. 24

I’m terrible with tasting notes but all I can say is it was sort of plain. Construction was beautiful, burned perfectly, nice draw. It’s just that nothing stood out. Maybe it’s because it’s cold outside, not sure. Couldn’t think of another cigar I’d compare it to. I’ll try another when I get back inside at our club to see if it’s different. Hoping to try a lancero this week. Just tried the Alex 109 and feel pretty similar to your sentiments. Very mediocre experience for me, certainly not worth the cost 3

Popular Post Greenhorn2 Posted January 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 17, 2022 All these discussions about Cohiba got me thinking. Yep, I like Cohiba. A little Bolivar to finish off the day. With some Eagle rare to go along. 30
