FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Been slowing way down due to cold weather lately but took a short trip today so I had the opportunity to get a couple of smokes in while on the road.

I did also have the chance to smoke a CoRo last week, just before thanksgiving, when the temperature warmed up to a balmy 53* F



Otherwise my opportunities to smoke have been few and far between lately.

Short. Black coffee and tea. Smoke has a newspaper texture. Hard to describe but really good.

My second of two cabs I purchased that were really good. So good that I bid for another on 24:24 today. I’ve noticed a lot are plugged and cannot produce quality flavor regardless of the perfect draw. But when they have a decent draw they are great. Hoping this next box is quality

Serie P 2 HQ TLE May 21 . After a dry box,started off smooth as silk. First third creamy,then some spice. Second third was a bit peppery. Woodsy. A bit harsh.  Final third it came back around. Leather,cream,sweet pepper. I'll smoke another and see how it progresses.

Monte Edmundo PSP TPO JUL 19. Rott. 

Guillotine cut. Oh no. No draw! Wrapper is fantastic. Smell good. What if I have to pitch it? Perfect draw. Whew just a knot at the end.  Lucky me!

Draw firm. First few puffs I get creamy chocolate goodness. Yes!

First third . Cream. Cocoa. Rich. No edges. Some sweet notes on the retrohale. Retrohaling is new to me. Getting the hang of it! Just below medium .

Second third. A bit spicier now. Cinnamon? Some white pepper. Still that cocoa note for the underlying flavor.  Some burn issues,had to touch up. 

Ran into a buddy. We start chatting. I let the cigar go out. Get back in my truck. Re light and it's a bit salty. Comes back around in the final third stronger now,above medium body,smooth. Smoked it almost to the nub. No edges . Still that chocolate.  Some toasted tobacco and leather. No edges. Aside from the burn not being all that even,I give it a 91/92. I have 5 more. Will take my time before I dig another one out.  Paired it with a good pour over Indian French roast.
