VR Unicos BRE Jul 2018.  

Such a pleasant change of pace.  Nutty, progressive flavours, wonderful construction, draw, ...and the retro brings it up several notches.  Was lucky to get them at Hotel Nacional, but enjoyed my first of these in a small courtyard at a beautiful B&B in Trinidad.  Brings back good memories.  It was the first time I'd sensed such powerful nut flavours in a cigar.  There have been a few inconsistencies in this batch since, but tonight's seems just like the first.  Worth the wait.

2nd coloniales from a 12 I got here. Mid 2020 I think. I find these to be really rich, first one was almost too much but this one has mellowed out a bit and was great.

Daiquiri of the poor and a way overfilled Montecristo no 4. I feel it gonna be plugged and I'll suffer. We will see.

Edit: The draw is perfect for now even using a straight cut only.

Never been more happy smoking a CoRo. Box code is December 2018 the month my first son was born. I am a big fan of Cohiba but CoRos have underwhelmed me a bit over the years, and I am not a fan of robustos. I like the tall thin ones lol. However I also believe if you get a good box of CoRos they can be extremely good. 

I bought as many December 2018 boxes off 24:24 as I could find. Ended up grabbing a box of Dip 2, a box of HU #2, and this box of CoRos. Felt like I had scored pretty well! I have tried the Dip 2 and the HU #2 and they were both spot on - as expected - but this was my first from the CoRo. BANGING! Maybe one day, if lucky enough, I’ll pull a couple from this box to share with him.

Started the day opening a new REG JUN 19 box of Party Shorts. Finished the day with a TLE SEP 20 Trinidad Esmeralda.

HDM Rio Seco from our hosts. This was probably the most pleasant stick I’ve smoked all year. Box almost has a year on it. It wasn’t the most flavorful or exciting but it was very easy and enjoyable. It really made my afternoon. Can’t wait to enjoy more of these in the future as they age.

And yes, the ginger was present and I loved it. Nice change from the usual for me. Smoked it down to a finger burning nub.

Yes, whacked with a huge bill from my painters! Luckily I have a money tree in the backyard according to my wife.
