Popular Post Spaceman Spiff Posted November 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2021 Well, my background might be a little bland but trust me when I say that these cigars were not!! HU Mag 54 - unsure of date, last one from a 3 pack freebie in a recent order and they were pretty good! HU is one of my favorite marcas so I obviously enjoyed this one, but the ring gauge is a bit bigger than I prefer. 2017 BBF - just wonderful. Notes of forest floor, damp earth to start and lots of leather & cream later on. In my experience, a little age on the BBFs goes a long, long way. Hope everyone is enjoying some great smokes today! 27

Popular Post smbauerllc Posted November 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2021 LFD Dominicana Ligero L-Granu At 6x64, my first of the really big rg cigars. Was very surprised it fit in my cutter, but just barely. Also have a 70rg Alec Bradley Texas Lancero that I will have to use my punch on for my very first time since it won't fit my cutter. Very tasty with lots of smoke volume as you could guess from such a large rg. About a mild-medium and full hour smoke time Perfect draw, burn and construction too Probably won't buy any as I just didn't really enjoy the feeling of the large rg in my hand or mouth. Was still a very enjoyable cigar though 13

Popular Post Glass Half Full Posted November 7, 2021 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2021 Sunday afternoon with a Siglo IV (OMS May 2017), the first try from a recent purchase. ...And the odd but enjoyable inconsistency of Cuban cigars jumps out. Delicious, sweet start, though oddly tight. Thought perhaps I needed to store at a lower RH, but the draw kept getting tougher. It never needed a re-light, but I did end up using a perfectDraw to be able to smoke the darn thing. (Don't know why, but I always look at that tool as a last resort.) ...And it worked! I removed what I'd guessed was culprit, a woody seeming piece of the "leaf," a tendril (I learned from google:) ...Followed by a few more that emerged on their own afterward from the head. It's more amusing than anything else. The "draw" experience didn't ruin the flavor, which has been complex and evolving. 24
