Still going strong after 9 years…

Petit Corona Especiales. Smoked one ROTT, box code SOR ABR 21

Noticeable youth as it tasted very peppery and spicy in the first inch or so.

But it turned the corner about one third in. Besides the old style Partagas flavors, I also tasted pomelo like citrus, rib eye steak like savory. What a treat for such young and inexpensive cigar.

Extremely tasty and on the fuller side.

Excellent draw,burn and construction

Carlos Torano Signature Collection Torpedo

Excellent taste

Draw was excellent but for some reason required several puffs to get any smoke.

Burn was uneven and required a few corrections

Coal was extremely large and smoke was hot

Construction, unsure but I suspect it was the cause of the problems, just don't know how

Overall, disappointing compared to all the others I have had which were perfect

Went in expecting the SP belicosos, but this cigar is quite spicy! 🤷‍♂️

LTO OCT 20 Punch 898. Cracked open another box and the first cigar from this clearance box was an easy 94. Can’t wait to see how the PSP box is. 
 

TUE OCT 20 Monty Supremos. Third one from this box and each has been a step up from the one before. Really enjoyed this one.

Little bit of a wonky burn in the pic. Was walking and talking. After the pic it evened out. Was last one of these HUHC but figured why not enjoy it as I have a fresh box arriving hopefully any day now.

Outstanding!

A solid medium with a thick, rich, smooth, balanced taste and not a hint of that "aged" or musty taste I start getting a little of around this age.

No idea how they were young, but 7 years later they are just awesome.

Probably one of the best aged smoke, or any smoke for that matter, I have ever had.

Would definitely scoop up more of about this age if I could.

 

Avoid Syncro Nicaragua Toro

Pretty good taste.

A little on the fuller side than I prefer.

Excellent draw and burn.

Unsure on construction as the entire wrapper started to come off immediately after cutting, and there was plenty of cap left. Required a fair bit of glue to repair.

Overall, this one just isn't really for me.

A few recent smokes. All very tasty, especially the Supreme Leaf. I’m also a fan of the NC San Cristobal - particularly this Revelation and their Quintessence. Of course, the SP had all those woody and salty flavors that are typical.

This is a cigar where you can expect to become a great one upon further aging.

UEB 2017 Mag 50 from a box that’s switched on right now. Kilchoman has officially become my favorite Islay. Their sherried offerings are really top shelf worthy. This one is a special selection from a scraped, toasted recharred red wine barrel that’s just as great. Made some hoppin john with a burger on the grill. Followed up with a Du Depute. Great evening. Happy weekend!
