sw15825 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Last evening an 2007 JL #1. I find this a very unique cigar, from my limited experience. It had a barnyard aroma at cold, with a ceadar and spice on cold draw. Started with pepper and cedar on the attack with quite a punch of strength, some sweet fruity flavors mixed in. In the next third it was less body, but the pepper went away to be repalced by cedar, spices, occasional fruity flavor and intermitent, light pencil lead flavors, but was not cloying. I am still enjoying the aroma as I smoke this, like a meaty, barnyard aroma. Last third was more meaty and picked up some strength again reminding me of a mix of Juan Lopez #2 and Partagas D4 ? I think. at least this is what it remided me of. At less than the last inch, I put it to rest. A few touch ups throughout and I didn't say Wow, but that was a very interesting, very complex, enjoyable and unique smoke.

LGC Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 2008 Siglo III. Still young and peppery for my tastes.
Bahnofstrasse Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 07 Magicos from the original release. Smoking wonderfully with dark chocolate, leather, and spice, being predominant. Still have a ways to go imo...
canadianbeaver Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Hamlet custom and my new bottle from Montreal, Rhum Rhum ‘Liberation 2010’ . Aged in wine casks this tastes more like scotch than rum! Pow!!0
Charltonc Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Ramon Allones Superiores, one of the worst I have had, but I did smoke a bunch last night.

Lotusguy Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Earlier today, one of my PSP QdO Superiores... Sent from my iPhone via Tapatalk. How was it? I had a single a few days ago and it was horrible due to bad construction
mk05 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 How was it? I had a single a few days ago and it was horrible due to bad construction Tastes like straight seco. QdO blend is too light for the EL seco methinks.
Ptowncigar Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 A young 11 Coro, spice from start to finish. Never had such spice in a Coro. Anyone else have the same experience?
Ophidion Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Rainy day but very warm. Qdo panatelas (THANKS ERIC!)
Strada Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Hamlet custom and my new bottle from Montreal, Rhum Rhum ‘Liberation 2010’ . Aged in wine casks this tastes more like scotch than rum! Pow!!0 I recognize that label
celtmick1984 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Very tasty, young BRC before breakfast. A little wonky burn at points, which may have been the wind, but otherwise the construction and draw were spot on, delivering large clouds of smoke, and the flavors were very full. There was earth/coffee providing the background with a wonderful sweet caramel? working its way through most of the smoke, and raisins/baker's chocolate and, at points, mushrooms on the finish. Glad I have a few more of this box code, MUR JUN 12, coming. Sorry, no pic.
Ophidion Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Round two: FIGHT! Johnny O lonsdale. Incredibly smooth for such a fresh smoke with a tiny bit of spice. Reminds me of a mag 48.
Ophidion Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Yes I am. I'm off from 3/8 to 3/18 and I'm enjoying the free time while I can. Although I will only smoke 1-2 a day then its back to my 1-2 a week regimen. Plus I only smoked three in MTL so I need to catch up
