Stalebread Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 This afternoon: an RA Estupendos. Really hit the spot.
laficion Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 This afternoon, I had some time after lunch so I thought that I'd pick up a Bolivar CE, HQ from Czar, so what can I say ? Just great, Animal, dark chocolate, Leather etc. plus, It's been quite a while since I've had such a box of box pressed cigars like these, they are a perfect square shape. Even better with a Mojito
bassman Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Small cigar day. 07 RASCC & 08 Diplo #5 both mediocre. 07 BCJ- now THAT'S a good little smoke.
MIKA27 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 This afternoon, I had some time after lunch so I thought that I'dpick up a Bolivar CE, HQ from Czar, so what can I say ? Just great, Animal, dark chocolate, Leather etc. plus, It's been quite a while since I've had such a box of box pressed cigars like these, they are a perfect square shape. Even better with a Mojito With or without mint Guy? I personally dislike mint leaves in Mojitos even though that in essence is the Cuban Mojito. I much prefer just lime.
laficion Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Sorry to hear that MIKA . A Mojito without the mint is not a Mojito, It's just a lime drink. I also like to eat the mint after I've finished the drink. Mika, now you got me thristy all over again, off I go to make me another cheers
dicko Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 love mojito's! mint essential. today i had a choix supreme. pretty good, light fruity tobacco, cedary, hay, capsicum. pretty good.
ChanceSchmerr Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 A wonderful Padron Magnum this evening. One of the best NC's I've had in a long while.
Erm310mce Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Had the most amazing Lusi this afternoon. TEB 08 from Czar and it knocked my socks off, 2 hours of bliss. The yard work with be there tomorrow....
mbrody Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Happy to be back after a two week hiatus (sinus issues really taking a toll on my smoking)... Kicked it off last night with a Petit Punch, a nice litte cracker of a cigar. This morning while playing golf (a few times a year and I am lucky) I sparked a lovely 08 Monte #2 (perfect to start off the morning). Then, to make some room in the Humi, I sparked a Opus X DC for the back 9. Surprisingly smooth and tasty with an easy draw. I'm thinking Boli CE for the Trifecta later today...
ChanceSchmerr Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Very much enjoyed a Sancho Panza Sanchos from Czar.....I think '99 vintage....exactly what I expected from this cigar. Nutty sweetness, salty aftertaste......this cigar had it all!
samb Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 First Parti SdC 3. It was an AMAZING smoke!! WHY ARE THESE MFers DISCONTINUED!!!????!
Mr.T Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Enjoyed a very nice 07 HdM DC....very plesant smoke throughout (draw, burn etc)....wood, leather and a touch of spice towards the final third..
thechenman Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Enjoyed a phenomenal PSD4 from 2010 last night with some friends. Fantastic cigar. The last third did hit me over the head with some nicotine. Still very enjoyable.
lemmycaution Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Yesterday I had an absolutely stunning 08 Sir Winston, just like thechenman said-this one totally made up for the last one being plugged.
thechenman Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Yesterday I had an absolutely stunning 08 Sir Winston, just like thechenman said-this one totally made up for the last one being plugged. Glad to hear it...
dicko Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 cohiba secretos. excellent. too bad about price and size lol
bassman Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 2010 RA Belicoso German RE. What a fantastic cigar. Strong, earthy & peppery. Much different- and better than the UK release.
perfectform Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Last night was my one and only RA 898V. If you have some of these and are not smoking them, you are missing out. Absolutely tantalizing cigar with a ton of complexity. It was the first cigar I've had that was truly complex. One of the best cigars I've ever smoked. An absolute tragedy these were axed. Why???
mbrody Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Tonight a tightly wound JL2 from 07. It's worth the little extra draw, but could have been a 93 if she was a bit more open. This box has become wonderfull and just gets better every couple of months.
dicko Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Party short. lovely. this must be one of the only cigars that has universal acclaim from what i have observed! lol
Joker Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Had a PL PC last night. Usually one of my favourites, but had draw issues and needed to be continually re lit. Ditched it due to frustration. Checked humidor RL and was at 70%, decided to dry box the cigars and get humi down to 65%. Will try another soon and keep you posted. Still enjoyed the Highland Park single malt!!
bassman Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 08 SLR Regio- HQ from Czar. I'd lost interest in this cigar after some very bland 05s, but there are perfect. Smooth & rich- very tasty. Thanks, Lisa!
