It's not really a "night shift", it is a 24 hour shift.

I am usually way too wound up to sleep in the morning, so I go play a round of golf and crash afterwards.  In the winter, I will watch movies or go to the cigar lounge in the morning.  I typically crash for a couple of hours around 3 or 4PM.

Very good - reminds me of when I was flying long haul and would arrive home 7-8 in the morning too wound up after 14-16 hrs of duty and needed a cigar and a couple of cold beers before hitting the sack.

Medical check at the Eye Clinic near the French border - used it to visit the Saarbrücken LCDH nearby to have some coffee and a H.Upmann Coronas Minor and chat with the guys.

Bought some cigars, Champagne and a bottle of Sherry cask Monkeydance Malt.

Had to try it right away after getting back home - pairs very well with a SCDLH. Extremely yummy.

Breaking out the big guns tonight, the 9 year anniversary of when I met my wife…sat next to her on an airplane. When I checked in the kiosk asked me if I wanted to upgrade to first class for $150. Three hour flight I figured I could drink enough that my net cost was closer to $75. My math was way off but I made the right call…luckiest night of my life!

Good to hear. I have a box marinating in the humidor but have been kind of sceptical about breaking into them too soon.

2014 Fonseca 1- Brand new box, sampling one ROTT as is customary when you’re as impatient as I am. So far so good. These are great, nice light toasted tobacco with an undercurrent of an almost vanilla bean like flavor that is getting stronger as it progresses. Definitely won’t be the last box I pick up

Exclusivo   Much maligned but when you get a good box these are way above average.  I’d take this over any 92 point NC any day. Pro tip: just snip off the perfecto tip and light it instead of huffin’ on the end hoping for some miracle ignition lol
