Popular Post Nino Posted September 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2021 My second ( and last ) NC this year. A Perdomo 20th Anniv. Barrel Aged I received a few months back. While spicier than the Fuente Opus X yesterday, again very flat and one-dimensional. Lots of smoke and a beautiful band but that's about it. Happy to have burned my NC stock and be back on Cubans ... 17

Popular Post Spaceman Spiff Posted September 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2021 Espinosa Mi Barrio Churchill (I think?) - picked up a 5er of these and I'm glad I did because it's excellent. Malted vanilla, white pepper and cream for days. I initially read that these were by DPG I believe? But now Espinosa is rolling them I think. Not surprised DPG had a hand in them at one point because I definitely taste DPG influence in there. 18
Popular Post smbauerllc Posted September 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2021 Cuban Cigar Factory Manolo Quesada Belicoso Very tasty and decent burn, excellent draw, but the wrapper peeled around the middle very badly. Peeling wrapper isn't a big issue, so overall a decent, very tasty, hour long smoke 12
Popular Post ChuckMangione Posted September 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2021 2017 Dip 2. Had a monte 2 yesterday so the battle of the 2s continues. For me, I think the diplomaticos has the upper hand. There’s a nice twangy breadiness that I get out of these which is slightly sweet - I think that description of partagas sweet bell pepper does it justice. Good cigar, 4.15/5 28

I prefer the monte no.2, but the Diplo no.2 is also an excellent Cigar and I have smoked quite a few and very much enjoyed them every time. Just more of a fan of the monte flavor profile Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Just more of a fan of the monte flavor profile Part of what makes this hobby so great - the variety of tastes and flavor preferences. To be fair, I’ve only smoked my way through one box of monte 2s, of which quite a few were duds. I am a big fan of the monte profile, though at this point I’ve preferred the Edmundos. Might need to grab another box of the monte 2s to try out. Cheers

Happen to recall what year yours were?Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Happen to recall what year yours were? 2019 I believe. Seems like several were under filled and the box was going through a “sick period” for a while. A handful of the ones I had near the end were solid, and I’m pretty sure the box just probably needed some more down time to sort itself out. Will add a box of monte 2s to my purchase list and will give them another shake

Agreed, the Edmundos are terrific and similar in taste... seem more consistent... but, that said, a recent no2 from 2020 I had was better. Sharper flavours and deeper cream and chocolate. Best no2 I've had in years. One of the best Montes I've had period. It may be a good time to stock up. 1
Popular Post cnov Posted September 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2021 My first Club Allones from the box, terrific from start to finish, didn't require the perfect draw until my fingers got hot! I'm fairly new-ish to cigars (huge hiatus after first getting into them) and this was stunning. First day of our holiday, sat on the balcony listening to the sea, it surely doesn't get much better. 26
Popular Post billyh79 Posted September 25, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2021 I saw Rob mention rum earlier and got me thinking… time for a tasting. Belicoso is a MSA DIC 17 Digging into the singles box for final round of Ryder Cup. I have a couple of these mid 2000s No 2’s left. As good a day as any to smoke one. 32
