Yes! Very much like my childhood too. The era of the crystal ashtray. I remember ours later on being converted into candy/nut dishes when no one was smoking in the house anymore.

I have multiple partial PLPC cabs of various age on the go but I opened a RAT FEB 20 cab to test one out the other day. Good first cigar for being so young. Happy with the result as I have a few cabs with this box code.

Very tasty. After 10 years, still pretty much the same as recent production ones, aside from a bit of that unique, indescribable aged taste.

Very tasty, but doesn't seem to change much with age, so not really worth waiting for.

 

LFdC PC

Pretty tasty. Slight hint of woodiness which I always like.

Draw was extremely tight even after reaming a decent channel through it with the Perfecdraw. Took multiple puffs to get any decent smoke volume.

Burn was wavy, but good

Construction, well I already mentioned the tight roll, but was otherwise good.

Overall, for a cheap PC, it was pretty much as expected and worth what it cost to me.

Hopefully the entire box doesn't have the same tight draws...

I would describe it more as bitter molasses (blackstrap molasses), rather than pancake and syrup. There's a bitterness/earthyness to it.

I'm about halfway through a 17 box.

I have smoked several out of an 18 box and they are vegetal and not very approachable or complex. Bad batch, or need more time?

Could be a bad batch or could need more time. Minutos are generally not too complex, but usually pretty approachable. Might need a few more years before they peak in sweetness.

D4 outside under the awning during the rainstorm here... lovely. It's been a minute, and this is dark coffee beans and blackstrap molasses, burning beautifully, with a lovely nutty toasty aroma. Sorry I can't seem to get beyond the clichés today!

Lusi UEB JUN 18. Started pretty harsh burnt tobacco and pepper. Half way now and less harsh but no sweetness at all. Hopefully more time down will help.  Long nap for these
