Both had perfect construction and no relights. Both delicious. The CCE probably the better cigar but the unexpected flavours threw me off a bit (hazelnut coffee with cream). The des dieux smoked like the previous ones I had (fruit, tannic wood and some creaminess). I actually smoked that one on Friday night and it was humid so I picked the lightest cigar I could find and it smoked ok until the end.

Been on a run of short smokes ... SCdlH Principe last of the box (LGR JUN-18), RyJ MF (ELU MAR-14), PLP with just a hint of sweetness (ASR JUN-17), Boli CJ - this box is really getting special (MSU JUL-19), and another SCdlH Principe from the next opened box (LGR JUN-18) same goodness as the last box, maybe even smoother from sitting untouched another few months.

Glad my instinct told me to buy 5 boxes of these despite not being a big ER guy. Have only had a couple but so far I’d say these are a fantastic cigar. Amazing it’s been 3 years. 

Jets game on here down in Florida, not every day I get to watch my team lose live on TV.

Two tonight, both from 2016:

Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2. My two previous sticks from this box were absolutely lovely. Tonight, the cigar started off somewhat loose on the draw, without a ton of flavor, for both me and my smoking partner. Both cigars went out toward the end of the first third, and when ash was knocked off, we saw tunneling. Poor construction I guess - they were better on the relight, though mine went out again on the last third.

Had to rectify that, so pulled out Cohiba Siglo I's with the orange sticker  Absolutely fab smoke, oily rich and nutty with zero burn issues.

Esmeralda yesterday was another 5/5 cigar. Incredible smoke!

Had a dark wrapper Monte 2 today that just didn’t do it for me. Been a very common them with dark wrapper montes for me. Light wrapper Monte’s on the other hand….

I would love to have a nice smoke today but the outside RH here in central GA is sitting a soggy 92% and I know it would be a subpar experience so I guess I will hold off😭

San Cristobal La Punta LGR SEP 18. My daughters birth month/year box. Started off bland but finished amazing. 

Partagas Lusitanias UEB JUN 17. Meh. Fourth from this box and all nothing to write home about.

Another example where newer beats aged. This Rass from 21 is better to me than my 16’s.
