Popular Post karp Posted September 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2021 Monte Edmundo - excellent. A 2020 box that has rated 4.5/5 reliably this year. Like smoking a chocolate biscuit with hints of nut and spice. 24
Popular Post LLC Posted September 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2021 Had another couple over; ended up being a great day/evening with lots to eat, drink and smoke. He brought a couple of EL Siglo VI tubos for us to enjoy after dinner so before dinner I got us each an AME JUN 13 Punch Serie D’Oro and then after talking about RASS, I grabbed a couple of OGA NOV 11 that we really enjoyed. After dinner we had the UAO OCT 19 VI’s. As expected very good. I was busy enjoying the company and BBQing so I only got a picture of the Siglo VI. 26

It really depends on the box. My 50s were reliably stronger than my 54s. I’ve seen reports on QdO that are all over the place, but the montesco size is typically a milder format.

It had been a while since I had a 50, but i did think it seemed much milder than I remembered, so you seem to be correct. Plus mine were bought as singles, so may not be from the same box even. Kinda sucks they would be all over the place like your saying. Much nicer to know what to expect when you choose a smoke. Thanks for your info 13 hours ago, HDGSN said: Cohiba Coronas Especiales SOP JUN 20 Enjoyed the day after arriving and slightly underfilled. The result is mostly toasted tobacco and ash. Will try again after 60 days but probably let them rest another year. EDITED TO ADD: Finishing up now. Just a mediocre cigar, but promising signs. Definitely just a matter of letting them rest a year or two. Mine are also 2020's and the couple I have had after just a month to rest and acclimate have been excellent. Also definitely weren't under filled as all have needed some work with the Perfecdraw to be smokable. Bummer you got a bad one. Always sucks getting disappointed after anticipating a good Cigar. Also for as much as they cost, they should really be perfectly constructed, every time. No excuse for a roughly $25+ Cigar to have any kind of issues, imho 13 hours ago, Rupe said: RyJ Petite Royale @Rupe How was it? Considering picking some up one of these days as they get pretty favorable comments/reviews from most people. Just have shied away from getting some being such a short length. Not much of a fan of anything under 5", but there have been exceptions for sure. How long was the smoke time for you?
Popular Post Chucko8 Posted September 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2021 From a 24:24 box of ETP Feb 16. Nice Father’s Day stick and sunset. 25

Popular Post Spaceman Spiff Posted September 5, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 5, 2021 17 PLPC - delectable smoke. Started with a cinnamon toast type of beginning that progressed in to caramel and butter. 27

Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk Romeo y Julieta is definitely not my favourite marca. Usually only have the Cazadores and Churchills in my humidor. And I have been disappointed on more than one occasion with the Edición Limitada releases. That being said, this particular cigar is very enjoyable to me. So much so, that I wish that I had purchased another box. A wonderful blend of subtle sweetness and baking spices. Thick rich smoke that provides a wonderful mouthfeel. Solid medium with gradual intensity towards the third and final act. Should continue to age quite nicely. No construction or combustion issues whatsoever. Simply a very well rolled sobrasaliente. Hope this helps. 1

Will let these rest for another year before I sample another from the box @yadegari6 Where would you put it on the common strength scale of mild, medium, full or a combo of 2? Granted, the extra 3 years may have mellowed mine a bit more than yours, but have had better luck with stronger smokes when young, not being too mild or bland for my tastes with age, especially much past the 5 year mark, out of the roughly 50+ aged and Vintage smokes I have had. Have a 2016 I have been sitting on for no particular reason that I really need to smoke as it will be my first DC and first Lusi. 23 hours ago, Boss Hog said: Partagás Lusitania (MUL DIC14). @Boss Hog How was it strength of flavor wise? Mine was really milder than I prefer my smokes, so would love to be able to get stronger ones if its possible to know how they are based on box code...
Popular Post Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 6, 2021 18 HU #2 - I think only the SWs beat these for my favorite HUs (to date anyway). Cookies, cream, white pepper and a unique funk that I really only find in the #2s. However many more boxes I have of these, aren't enough. Hope everyone is having a fun and safe Labor Day and enjoying some spectacular cigars! 23
