I did a facepalm when I checked my spreadsheet for the box code and notes you sent me. Got the landing dates for the Famosos and Unicos mixed up in my head, so totally spaced on the fact that it’s just arrived. Still smoking it down right now, getting notes of raisin/dried fruit and cacao/beany richness. Mild/medium in body, but the smoke is pretty rich - probably what people are referring to as the lushness of Famosos. Definitely will benefit from a proper rest, but pretty decent so far.

Haha hey they sound pretty good and if you aren't struggling with burn...I think they're ready! 1

Popular Post Nino Posted August 8, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2021 Three days of cigar smoking here - usually we would have the annual Pharmacy cigar gathering with 50-60 people this month but .... My good buddies John from Scotland, Frank from Belgium and Jay from Germany came and a few local friends plus my pharmacist. I cooked some Chili prawns with Chorizo, we had some terrific single Malts and Cuban rums, a truckload of cigars including some great La Meca del Tabaco Farm rolled and I finally used the Stinky ashtray I received from my Canuck friends in HAV like 8 years ago ... @Puros Y Vino and @Cigar Surgeon among them when I had a cigar tasting in my Casa with Hamlet attending and the RA 898 jars were handed out ... Had a great time and a winery B&B like last few years where we could enjoy the cigars. 29

Excellent smoke choices for the day. Love the CoRos, and the one the 1 Sir Winston I was generously gifted was outstanding. A 2016 I believe. Haven't tried the Esmeralda yet, but plan to pick up a few in a private sale one of these days 10 hours ago, ChangBang said: Nice, how did the famosos smoke? Got it less than a month ago, they ready? Always a huge disappointment to get even 1 bad cigar. What rh is the room where you dry box? Just started trying out dry boxing myself as so many people do it and are very pleased with the results. The rh in my room is pretty steady at 55 to 60%, and I store everything at 65%, so not a major change in rh when I dry box them, but have noticed better draws with ones I dry boxed a few days. 8 hours ago, Bijan said: 2014 Partagas 898. See a lot of these posted in these threads across multiple forums. Definitely need to pick up a few in a private sale to try out, as popular as they seem.
Popular Post smbauerllc Posted August 8, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2021 Zino Platinum Z-class 550R Excellent smokes. One of my favorite nc's. Great taste and perfect draw, burn and construction consistantly Not too bad on price for a Davidoff/Zino either. Partagas Serie E No.2 One of my top favorite Partagas Excellent taste and perfect draw, burn and construction as usual. Dont smoke that many as somehow they fall off my radar when order time comes. Definitely need to rectify that. The Griffin's Classic Robusto Not bad. A little bit bitter, especially the first couple inches, but faded a fair bit after that. Excellent burn, draw and construction though Got it as part of a bomb a few months ago Not really something that I would buy Cohiba Robusto Kicking off my first evening in Yellowstone with a good, Classic smoke Excellent taste and perfect draw, burn and construction Much better than the last one from this pack that was bland and flavorless 19

We had a herf last night and watched the latest UFC which ended up being quite entertaining. We decided to make a peat night, starting out palates out light with a simple but elegant Clynelish 10 and then some surprisingly balanced peat from the Ardbeg Ardbog, an Octomore 6.1 and then the 7.1 We started with Cohiba Esplendidos from 2017 and then moved on to the RA Mexico which was a delight. 22

They'll rob you of the ability to taste cigars. . . and get laid. 1 6

Popular Post RDB Posted August 8, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2021 After a bothersome, extremely tight Cohiba Lancero earlier, a wonderful, flavoursome and perfectly behaved SLR Regio this evening. Never mind the boxcodes etc (ok 18 and 15), this is a fine example of a) the power of the erratic stimulus, and b) the great value available in less-heralded regular production smokes. 19
