Popular Post Bijan Posted July 31, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2021 Another du depute. A Hoyo du Roi, picked the ugly duckling of the box and it was as bad as it looked. And a Partagas Serie du Connaisseur no. 3, not as savoury this time, maybe getting watermelon flavour of all things in the first third. Edit: ended with spice and fresh herbs. 28

Popular Post RDB Posted July 31, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2021 Gorgeous D4 from 2015, recent arrival from FOH. Really good. Savoury, burnt toast, touch of spice building into the final third. Great burn, smooth retro. Quite old school: no chocolate milkshake here. 27

Popular Post smbauerllc Posted July 31, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2021 RyJ Short Churchills Excellent taste and perfect draw, burn and construction again. Haven't had more than a handful of these, but they have been a consistently great, reasonably priced smoke. Enough so that I'm debating between a box of these or a box of Montecristo no.4's with my next order. Suspect I will end up going with these for a longer smoke time, something different (smoke a lot of monte 3's and 4's), they are tubos which I love for keeping one in my pocket and the price difference is negligible. Trinidad Fundadores My first one of these thanks to a generous gifter. Extremely tasty and excellent draw, burn and construction Cold draw seemed fairly tight, but once lit I had no problem getting good smoke volume out of it. Lasted me an hour and a half, which surprised me as everything, regardless of size, always takes me an hour give or take a little. All in all a great smoke and I can definitely see why they are so popular and well regarded. Already have a trade arranged for 5 more, lol Will be arriving in a couple weeks with my box split of Cohiba Coronas Especiales and a QDO 50 (would have loved to get more of the QDO's as I love them and only have 1 left, but he only has 3 and would only part with 1) Should get a full box of Fonseca Delicias around the same time too. 23

Popular Post RichG Posted August 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 1, 2021 Wife and kids are away, an extremely peaceful rarity. I was going to spend the day in some combination of working and drinking with friends. Instead I played guitar for hours, took a nap, ordered takeout and watched reruns of the Sopranos….couldn’t ask for more. Sometimes nothing is the answer! Ending this beautiful, vegetative day with a TPL Jun 20 Churchill, my first to smoke from this box. It is absolute perfection. Siglo VI LTO Aug 20. The first of a box of ten, and my first altogether. I’m going to revisit one each August and see how they change, and based on this one…most likely buy some more in the interim. Excellent honey, grassy Cohiba through first 2/3rds. No youthful bite. Final third developed into a pleasant coffee alongside the sweetness. Nubbing this around an hour and fifteen minutes. Additionally, recently ran into these seltzer’s with real fruit juice, fantastic accompaniment. 31 1

Popular Post Zebra Posted August 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 1, 2021 Punch Punch picked up in a recent 24:24. I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. It was a little milder than I expected but overall it was a satisfying smoke. The main characteristics I noticed were a very creamy, almost vanilla element accompanied by a prominent woodiness, a slight nuttiness and a background note of papaya which was very unexpected. A good 2hr smoke for me. I’m glad I have five more. 27
