Definitely try it if you have the stock to do so.  Better to try it and wait than not enjoy the cigar or pitch the bitch after half or less of the smoke.

Very true. It always pains me to have to give up on one because I just can't get but the tiniest bit of smoke out of it.

They come in 25 count dress boxes, so you might be able to get singles not from a tin at a more reasonable price. Not sure if they stopped making the 25 count boxes now that they have tins, but I definitely have gotten a box in the past.

My experience has been opposite. Smoked probably 30 or so and never had a tight draw.

Oddly the longer Laguito no. 1 have been better on draw for me. So Cohiba Lanceros better then CCE and Montecristo Especial better than especiales no. 2.

Did a 20-mile bike ride with my wife this afternoon (skipped out of work a little early for some fun  though the last 10 were in a downpour of rain   (really something!)  ...All good in the end.  No one struck by lightning, and (luckily) it's summer on this side of the world.  

Now enjoying the cool evening with an unusual one for me (Cohiba Robusto from 2018).  Thought it worthy of pairing with Don Pancho Origenes (the old one; what the heck).  (From Panama by way of Cuba.)

That’s awesome! What was the youngest you’ve smoked? I think a lot of it is Cuba being Cuba.  I love the vitola and Cohiba flavors, but just haven’t had good luck on the construction with them. Albeit, haven’t smoked more than 10, but im sure they were just duds and part of poorly rolled batches.

I can’t say I’ve had any experience on fresher versions. Only have had from this 08 box so far for this vitola. Can tell you on this one that it was super buttery shortbread like with light coffee notes. Super smooth from start to finish and never above medium in body throughout

PLPC from @Edicion ROTT. Got some caramel in the first third. But some bite or mint for the rest. Not as sweet a caramel as the first PLMC I had, never had that since. Amazing construction and burn. I've got two more that I'm going to rest until the end of the summer and see how that goes.

2008 RG Coronas Extra. Floral/lavender, a tiny bit of earth at first, some cocoa at times.

Got gifted this Partagas Anejado from @mt1 last night at our weekly game.  Wow what a spectacular smoke..Lots of floralness with cedar and pepper , quite creamy, no hard edges.  So pleasant.  Thanks again and looking forward to our next game! Whether I am winning or losing, it's always a pleasure to spend Friday evenings with other cigar guys!
