I have read of some saying the difference is enough that they have a preference outside of size Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Both are approachable when young. I tend to lean more towards 54. I find that it has some woodiness, creaminess (i love creaminess in cigars), lil hints of coffee & it's a well balanced cigar. Very smooth even when young. When you retrohale, tend to get some slight pepper at times. No harshness what so ever. It's medium in body. As for the 50 which I have only smoked less than 5 sticks if I can remember. Last one was over a year ago, kinda leathery, slight creaminess(not as much as 54), some saltiness & burnt caramel in the first half of the cigar. I felt that it needed more time to develop. Also a medium in body. Hope this helps. Keep safe always!
Popular Post sonarman81
Picked up while on deployment in 2016 when we pulled into Bahrain. “American Alley”, neat place, very very nice people , respectful as I’ll get out. Anyways, picked up a bunch of singles of random sticks, this is one of the last ones. OTL JUN16 from our host. My kid graduates high school tomorrow. Some time for reflection. Popular Post BoliDan
First Party#1 Its pretty good. I avoided them because I figured they were just expensive #4s. But the blend is certainly more ballsy. Not a fan of Maduros, but I could see myself grabbing these on sale. The main lot is stored in the basement, so I will say some fluctuating factors as we have all 4 seasons here. So between 64-70 F. Below grade is pretty consistent in temperature.
Popular Post Bijan
Cohiba Lancero. My new approach to tight/plugged sticks is to try and pull out twigs as I smoke and failing that partial leaves. Seems to work even though it can butcher the head a fair bit. Edit: I think I managed to take it too far and pull out the ligero? 27

Bri Fi
@Bijan I have a ocd problem of pulling twigs out when I see them. Regardless of how the cigar is smoking, but if there is a tight draw then I’m going knuckle deep into the head of the cigar.

It’s probably the perfect vitola for me, and the flavours (typical partagas) were pleasingly intense. I will certainly look out for a box.

Popular Post smbauerllc
Bolivar Belicosos Finos My favorite Bolivar, and one of my top favorite smokes in general. Also love the belicosos vitola a lot '16 Montecristo Media Corona Have smoked about 5 of these in the last month and all have been superb in every regard. Extremely tasty and great draw, burn and construction Only issue is the small size. They are just over with too quickly and always left me wanting more. Would be nice if they offered the same Blend in a larger vitola. Likely won't be buying any of these (what I have had was all generously gifted to me) due to the small size, just like the HUHC's. Didn't notice any real difference between this 2016 and the 2020 and 2021 recent production. Seems like if you want to age them, they will need more than 5 years for there to be any changes.

Popular Post StogieSteve23
A couple from yesterday. Got to meet up with @bdw1984 for a smoke and some conversation. Huge shout out to him for the vintage bomb he dropped when we got together. MAR-MAR-20 E2 (hate that I keep smoking these but they’re so good) BRE-NOV-18 Mag46 Decided to try the Tesoros again. Nothing special here, even with 5 years on them.. might not touch the last box and a half for another 5 more years.. Alleged CC flying pig 🐕 🚀 gifted by @ElJavi76 Not as bad as I’d heard.. First try with the Esmeralda thanks to @ElJavi76 Sponge cake, funnel cake with light powdered sugar dusting. Orange zest. Nuttiness. Not too sweet but perfect with a morning coffee. Love the size.
