FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Some cigars I’ve had over the past two evenings. Usually don’t smoke two nights in a row, but if it’s below 60F in Central Texas in May you make some exceptions. 
 

Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleurs 2018- had this last night, smoked like hot garbage. Usually a fan but tonight it was too tight even for a PerfectDraw; put it down less than a third in  

Dapper Cigar Siempre Sungrown- surprisingly good. Went to a “craft” cigar lounge near me and picked this up on a recommendation. Sour cream to start (this is most likely me), some nuttiness, slightly sweet with some dark coca and light spice. Not box worthy, but I would have it again.

Why do all the cigars from you taste better than the ones from boxes I own? let’s come up with a system here ..........but seriously, WOW, this vigia is absolutely spot on .......so weird how the early vigias....17/18s I have seemed less approachable when at a similar age .....this is magic ...idk if they stepped up the blend to make 2020 vigias keep pace with the new line or what ....insight here people?

It’s because cigars from another BOTLs humidor just have that much more twang...or beginners luck 😄. Glad you’re enjoying the sticks!

Cracked open my first box of SOM DIC 16 RA La Palmera UAE Regional Edition. Love the Sublimes size. Great flavors but a wonky burn.

This BEL DIC 2020 RyJ Belicoso benefited from the extra aging I gave it (20 mins in my top pocket, between receiving the Australia Post delivery and getting to the Italian restaurant downstairs). Smoking well and helping the stresses and strains of the week melt away.

Trying not to snigger too much at the box code.

Big fan of the Epicure line, and would say that the Especial is my favorite vitola.
All of them are constantly great in every regard in my experience

SP Belicoso - RAT NOV '20 - Draw, construction and earthy notes were fantastic.  Nice med-full bodied smoke. 
Party Maduro No.2 - TUA JUL '20 - Full 90 days down has made a huge difference and a full flavored cocoa blast.
JL Seleccion No.2 - FoH single (last one and it was stellar)
Trini Esmerelda - TLU MAR '20 - Disappointed as the pigtail twist worked but it was an absolute wind tunnel 
Cohiba Secretos - AMO MAR '17 - Perfect nightcap with lots of cocoa notes and some punch to it.

Love the partagas maduros and the Cohiba secretos, but they are pricey, and always out of stock everywhere when its time for my monthly order.
Only realistic option is to try and find someone willing to part with a few in a private sale.

I think they're great. They've mellowed out a bit but still have a lot of flavor. I think they are a lot stronger than other RJ sizes, I have some 08 PC's from my older sons birth that taste totally different.

Just curious....doesnt buying monthly make it hard for you to smoke well rested cigars? why not just build up a good stash and not buy monthly?

I typically smoke one Cigar a day only, and when I make my monthly order I always buy more than a months worth, plus I splurged with the stimulus checks so I have a pretty large supply, so I can now easily give everything a month to rest and acclimate
