slow smoke some pork ribs for almost 4 hours on the KJ and they were awesome. As was the Affogato and the EPM NOV 18 CORO

These used to have a great cream note that made me think of coffee with a splash of half and half.  I haven’t seen that in a BBF in a while.  This is still good, but it’s missing that.

Getting ready to see the close on the acquisition of a company I was a seed investor in, so having a little celebration with a touch of the Springbank 18 and a PL Magnificos. Coincidentally enough I also have a stake in the acquiring company. Actually introduced the two to each other a few years back.

Just pitched this UMR DIC 19 punch punch. Extremely bitter with a petroleum opening. This has to be in a sick period. Brutal. I’ll try again 3 months from now! 
I’ll have to grab a Coloniales to wash this flavor away. 

Much, much better! First from one of my BSM DIC 19 boxes. I freaking love these. 
Also, who had my Giants with the 2nd best record in the bigs?! If our pitching keeps up we’re gonna be really tough the rest of this season.

I havnt had one in over 6 months as the last 4 weren’t great after the first 6 or so were spectacular. 
It’s trying really hard to be a great cigar, just isn’t getting out of its way just yet. Sweet spice, some sweet dried fruit like raisin or dates, and some green bell pepper. It’s a definite improvement over the last few I’ve had, but still needs more time to regain its opulent flavor and aroma it had right out the gate. 
90-91 now, but you don’t smoke 898’s for them to be very good. You smoke em to be spectacular!

I got some hints of caramel on the retro but mostly just a very pleasant sweet and woody tobacco flavor. Construction was spot on. Near perfect draw and burn. I have no doubt that they will be better in another year or two. But they are currently some of the older and better tasting smokes in my modest collection. So I'm enjoying them for what they are now.
