Strada Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 RG Perlas. Sweet sweet smoke! I think these are great quick break cigars like the Upmann HC

maverickdrinker Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 All this talk about the upcoming Vegueros release made my pull this out today. 2001 Vegueros Especiales No. 1
NMJoe Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 All this talk about the upcoming Vegueros release made my pull this out today. 2001 Vegueros Especiales No. 1 How'd you like it?
maverickdrinker Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 still smoking it. Started off a little harsh but hitting the money spot right now. Roasted nuts, grassy notes, cream and cocoa. Not bad actually.
dangolf18 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 An absolutely magical HU Mag 46 from Czar. Easily the best Mag 46 I've ever had. Best Cigar I've had in 2013 so far. Do you know the box code?
DougB Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 '05 Mag 46 while walking the dogs. Good, not great.
NMJoe Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 still smoking it. Started off a little harsh but hitting the money spot right now. Roasted nuts, grassy notes, cream and cocoa. Not bad actually. Lots of mixed reviews (obviously). I've never had one so I can comment.
pjansen Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 In came in a 3 pack sale that Smithy posted in Nov. with a Monte 2 and SLR Pacifico. Interesting the best cigar I ever had was a mag 46 from a pack of three last summer. Hmmm maybe something to this.
Lotusguy Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Yesterday, the second best JL I ever tried - a JL Seleccion #4 RE APAC from the box pass. I generally dislike the marca (find it boring) but I really liked the Seleccion #5 and now this one! Great stick! After that, I couldn't believe it myself, but I actually really enjoyed the NC Romeo & Julieta Romeo. CA cigar of the year #3 or something like that and I only picked it up at my local B&M because I wanted to use their lounge and it was relatively cheap (by California standards) at $8+Tax. It was medium-bodied, complex, and very enjoyable. Perfect construction and since it was the torpedo vitola, I wasn't bothered too much by the ridiculous RG. Right now, I am smoking one of those legendary Trinidad Fundadores from 1998 and it is a big let-down. Tight draw, very little flavor. I enjoyed my 2006s MUCH more. Boo!! I believe the store is to blame at least partially - I had picked this single stick up in the Davidoff store in Monaco where everything was horribly over-humidified and there was mold galore. Glad I didn't buy the whole box...
Hubba Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Interesting the best cigar I ever had was a mag 46 from a pack of three last summer. Hmmm maybe something to this. i had an amazing aged 3 pack of Mag46 in Cuba last year as well......quite memorable.
Orion21 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 An unbelievably sweet and savory RA Superiors with a Lagunitas IPA
maverickdrinker Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 needed a little something, something to help recover from all the snow shovelling....
maverickdrinker Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Round 3 of the battle against the snow has been completed Relaxing between rounds with a 2010 Edicion Regional Alemania Ramon Allones Belicosos
Orion21 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Trying my first 520 today. Its just so big, however its an amazing cigar. It is a richer, sweeter and smoother version of the MGE. Beautifully rolled, heavy in the hand and the draw was perfect. I will need more boxes ASAP.
kidmac Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Smoked to with the crew bringing the storm in! 1st Upmann RR 2nd PSDE 2010
Orion21 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Bling, Bling!!!!! More like - ding, ding, ding, ding, ding! Finally, an Upmann RR to get excited about! The redness of the wrapper is not done justice in this photo. Its almost blood red. And surprise, surprise . . . Cherries! 95+ cigar.
