A '17 Partagas D4. Had a wonky burn which caused me to smoke it too quickly....almost blew me out of my seat! Glad I had my lifejacket on

Monte 2 from earlier. This one had a bad crack, unfortunately there was a big knot throughout that area and it was a tough smoke. However there was some young brilliance there, I’m extremely excited for this to come into their own! 
 

I just had a really incredible development on something that’s been a massive weight on my chest, so I’m celebrating this with a La Trova and some aberlour a'bunadh batch 68...my first bottle of it!

Glad to hear it!

They were discontinued in 2014, so not as crazy long ago as some other cigars (like a lot of the lonsdales). Bit of a premium but not off the charts.

I know at least one vendor that still has 5 or 6 2013 boxes in stock.

Edit: They pop up on Bond Roberts pretty regularly, but sometimes they'll be really aged/vintage and will have that premium, but other times more recent ones will come up.

Bday smoke...

unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about this beautiful smoke. It produced a very dry acrid smoke w/ no flavor whatsoever. A real shame to say the least. Maybe I got a bad one. who knows...
