Popular Post ReturnFreeRisk Posted April 16, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 16, 2021 A pre-dinner Fonseca Delicias. Pretty lucky I received this box with about 5yrs age on it. Meets expectations perfectly! Have a good weekend All The after dinner cigar. Pulled the bands off early to save for my collection, but this is a 2018 RE La Flor De Cano Netherlands. Interesting sweet mesquite barbecue note on this; kind of a ‘meaty’ mouthfeel to the smoke that’s reinforcing it too. Pairing with some rhum agricole - a Rhum JM select barrel (very much prefer the rums that don’t permit added sugar). Going big on the fire tonight with about a dozen logs! Popular Post LLC Posted April 17, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2021 Last few days. LGR FEB 19 Punch 48. Consistently very good MEG May 17 Connie A. Yum. 2018 Jorge rolled Monsdale. Not sure if it’s the age or blend but continue to prefer the Monsdale’s that Jorge rolled vs the newer ones. 34

Popular Post jvd1291 Posted April 17, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 17, 2021 A Partagas Serie D No.5. I love shorter/petit robustos. A little bit of a rough start as it was too tight to draw, but after using my draw tool a bit got it going perfectly pairing with a dram of Blantons Single Barrel. 28

I love a tight draw but this was a little too tight. Had to poke around a bit with the perfecdraw, which helped a little but not much. Pure Partagas spice, coffee, wood and a hint of chocolate. If the draw had been perfect this would have been a stellar cigar but sadly I didn't get enough smoke to really appreciate the flavors. I traded for some 1s, 2s and 3s recently. All are from the dark years, I'm looking forward to them but already tremble in fear of too tight cigars. 😅 Should have them in hand in a couple of weeks. 56 minutes ago, Islandboy said: This is really good, takes me someplace exotic. I’m nubbing it now, can say this particular stick has been spectacular, with a nice evolution. Final third is a warm apple strudel with a beautiful cinnamon twang. Delicious in every way. 1

smbauerllc Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 I did not think much of it. It was mostly bland. Not much Monte DNA. The RACF was brutally strong though. Very bold and rich. It might have skewed my enjoyment of the Monte. I might revisit it later in the summer. If it doesn't improve, I'm only invested in a 5 count tin. That sucks. Hopefully it was just a one off dud.I would hate to have paid the relatively high price for such a tiny little smoke only to have it suck.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Used to love and smoke a lot of the Siglo VI's back when I could afford them. Also jealous of all the EL's and ER's you smoke. I have only ever found 2 ER's from one vendor that had them affordably priced. Most places want crazy money for them The 2 i bought were still pretty pricey, but they are very large vitolas and I have only heard very good things about them. Will definitely be saving them for special occasions just like the dozen aged smokes I have been very graciously gifted Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 1 1

Fingers crossed 🤞 But I have been very lucky with such cigars (99-01 and one late 98), though I've only had maybe half a dozen so far. No tight draws and flavours have been generally good. Don't know if I was just lucky or if time has helped. 1

The vitola that I smoked the most from these years is the Lonsdale and I've never had a problem. Most of my plugged ones were Petit Coronas. 1
