Yesterday a TPO JUN 20 Punch SdP. Got this box in the fall and had one after some resting time and it was only ok. Now with a bit more time, I decided to try another one yesterday and it was great. Now all the good reviews and feedback make more sense. 
 

Today a EPM NOV 18  CORO. This and the other few I’ve had from this box have been very good considering they are still relatively young.

Tell ya, when these are this good, the value prop to pretty much every premium cigar plummets.  I now price cigars in terms of number of boxes of Monte 2s.  1.5 boxes, 2 boxes, .75 boxes etc

Speaking of the 100 point rating system...this is one of few a CC’s that’s under an 80. More like a 70...draw never opened and bland, underwhelming flavor. I didn’t picture a BRE NOV 18 Connie 1 I smoked earlier today that was great.

BPC after taking yesterday off after burning out my palate Friday night. Had one Friday night and it was earth and nuts for the first bit but then I couldn't taste anything. But that one burned very well and had amazing smoke output. This one had the wrapper fireproof on one side but beside the earth flavour it had a wonderful and unexpected dried berry flavour on the retrohale for most of the first 2/3.

Also all of the retrohaling cleared out my stuffed nose. So it was a bit of a medicinal smoke 😎

It’s an early 20 code...got it in a 6 pack. Honestly from the others I’ve smoked it probably needed another year...I was just being stubborn.

Actually, I did not know what I was smoking.
My my friend just said it was a Punch from 2000.
You can instantly confirm this is a vintage cigar, quite mild in the first inch. Then gets stronger and stronger until half point.
Power without strength, this is how I feel.
Whole cigar is full of cedar flavor, and you can taste the sweetness of wood. In the last 1/3, a little bit coffee.
Not something you would mark 95/100, maybe around 88/100.

I decide to try something new today. My very first Hoyo Epicure No.1 2014.
Well, time does not do magic to this cigar, creamy, sweet, coffee.
Not a great cigar but enough to kill some time.

This was too strong for me.
Very complicated flavors, cedar, tobacco, straw( I looked this up), chocolate.
I thought this cigar was full body, but people said solid medium body.

I have roughly 1.5 boxes left. I managed to trade a few singles and gifted a few as well. I have been thinking of starting to sell on Bond Roberts as i have a few REs that I don't like and also want to get rid of some big RG cigars.

I've had a couple variety of VR from different years and I've gotten nothing out of them so far.  Even if they burn great, no flavor for me either.

Interesting! The ‘20 Famosos I have are already fantastic...the Unicos I’ve had from this 6 pack are way off from the Famosos. I suspect the Unicos needed another year or two of rest, but I don’t think I’ll go down chasing a box.
