Fires up a Vigia that was a year and a half or so old while getting the fire pit ready for some friends to visit. Caught up w my son for an hour on the phone. 
 

Cigar was nice but regrettably somewhat forgettable. Smooth but no transitions. Maybe I’m getting spoiled lately. Good Cuban, don’t get me wrong, but not a premium price over others kinda stick. 
 

on the other hand very nice catching up w my son. Been over a week since I had heard his voice. Text and snapchat etc is just not the same thing.

This time last year I was in Havana. Man I miss my trips there. Today watching some spring training baseball I enjoyed another great MOL SEP 18 JL1 I picked up from Habana Libre hotel on last years trip.

It’s was very good. To be honest I was a little disappointed in the first 5-10 mins then it opened up with nice coffee, citrus and sweet hay notes. Construction was impeccable.

Weekend smokes:

Monte Media Corona (TES NOV 15): Have 1/4 left of a box, and this is the first that has a distinct monte profile - the first 3/4 were mostly bland and harsh - but they finally seem to come around 😊 Classic monte profile with cocoa, cream and tobacco - and a very nice fit to a strong italian 'flat white' coffee.

Partagas Series D No 5: Box code unknown as this was a sampler prize from FOH. The cigar had a cut in the wrapper above the band towards the head, which fortunately did not affect draw, burn or taste. Typical partags flavors - its been a while since I had a PSD4 but this one reminded me of the last time I tasted the D4, with sweet spiced cream (paprika) - just a bit more muted than a D4, but overall very enjoyable.

Weather is so bad this weekend.
And most cigar club does not open on Sunday.
I had the Robusto Supremos in the club on Saturday, and smoked one Cohiba Maduro Secretos in the bathroom again today.

My "smoking lounge" is running out of room for me.  We are remodeling our master bath, so the garage is filled with tiles and a big soaking tub.

It is always challenging to pick a birthday cigar.  It is a birthday, so I dont want to smoke something that I smoke all the time.  At the same time, it is not a major birthday, so I don't want to smoke anything too rare or special.  

This UAO SEP 17, Talisman seemed appropriate.

I can sympathize with your remodeling issues.  We just finished remodeling our entire house and the contractors were pissed that I wouldn't let them use all the space in the garage.  I had to carve out my own area and told them it was off limits to them.

Yep works great in the garage. Was in the balcony this morning in the sun; much more civilized 😂. Looking forward to the baseball season and getting back in the deck to watt with a cigar.

Yes, all Cohiba Maduros are great, especially aged ones. I also like aged Patargas Maduros.
All Cohiba are a bit pricey now.
Luckily, because I do not drink, I can have some extra money to buy cigars.

Yes, all Cohiba Maduros are great, especially aged ones. I also like aged Partagas Maduros.
All Cohiba are a bit pricey now.
Luckily, because I do not drink, I can have some extra money to buy cigars.
