Lotusguy Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Today first an excellent (as always) Hamlet Custom Robusto Extra and tonight a very nice Siglo VI (no BD since it was a gift).
Charltonc Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 PLPC from 08 and 2011 Royal Robusto, very good smokes for the beginning of a three day weekend.
Danston Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Had the misfortune to smoke this horror of a Monte 4 earlier, looked bad didnt taste much better. Want to smoke something else to get rid of the memory of this one, but the humidor is running perilously low and ive got the rest of the weekend to get through. Does anyone have any look with the 4s? i have smoked 3-4 now which isnt many admittedly but i havent had a good one yet.

dangolf18 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Was digging through some empty cigar boxes of mine and happened tp find a jl2 sitting in one....I dont remember even having any jl2 as ive never bought a box. Anyway smoking that now. Excellent. Must have been in that dress box for half a year and its still perfextly hunidified.
canadianbeaver Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Punch Corona 2007 and glass of Henkel **Abandoned, tried another, abandoned, went for a PLPC. Loved it! ***
Danston Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Im not bagging on the Monte 4s just think these last 2 may have been stored poorly, holes in the wrapper and just a poor looking cigar, sent a friend to pick up a few singles, he was supposed to pick up a couple of gloriosos, but came back woth the 4's as "they were cheap" wouldn't have minded but i was paying!
Lotusguy Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 La Flor De Las Antillas Toro (was at a local B&M). OK. "Cigar of the year" - hardly

SurpriseMVP Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Half Corona from a dress box and some Zaya
dublin76 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 AGR MAR 11 Trini Reyes tonight. Quick 35 mins in 35f degrees, clear skies and quiet night. Peppery with anise in the first third, even burn, perfect draw and smoked to the nub with ease. A few mouthfuls of malbec wine enhanced the flavor, but i couldn't decipher what it was. Cheers!
Drguano Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Temp is above 0 for a couple hous. Enjoying an H Upmann Magnum 48 with coffee and the cat on the porch.
dangolf18 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 A glorious Montecristo No.4 from '10....box is very consistent.
Fshaw Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 A Monte Grand Edmundo that left me quite underwhelmed...
dangolf18 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 IMHO, the Monte GE is the most overrated cigar. Good, but not as good as some people say.
stargazer14 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Cuaba Tradicionales, from '10. Smooth pepper and spice.
Reevzy Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Smoked a Montecristo 520 last night at a mates house and although I'm no aficionado, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and could have quite easily lit up another straight after if I'd had one. Probably the best cigar I've had in my new found reunion with them.
