Party Maduro No. 2 - TUA JUL '20

Nice little hour smoke with deep, rich chocolate notes.  Will definitely benefit from some time down.

I’ve been dying to get my hands on a Maduro No.2 Looks very similar in shape and size to the Monte petit No.2. How would you say it compares to the No.1 or the No.3?

The Aristocrats are one of my fave Cheap n Cheerfuls from Party, along w the PCE. Both REALLY start to improve after they get about a year and a half on em. I just finished some '16s that were pretty great for just over $100 usd.

Thanks for the tip. These were ARS JUL 18.

Maybe I'll have a PCE next. My box there is SOR DIC 19 ? (so not a year and a half yet though)

Hi buddy,

This bar is located on the 3rd floor of Ritz Carlton Guangzhou China.
A nice spot to smoke cigars with live music.

Thanks man!
My friend told me this was from 1980s. Now I am on my way to punch him in the face. Just kidding.
It was a nice small cigar to enjoy after lunch.

My first ever Diplomatico, box code unknown as it came from a FOH prize sampler ?

Great construction, and enjoyable experience with a bit of creamy taste, tobacco and a slight hints of coffee. Unfortunately not much cocoa in this one, however, this may be due the colder temperatures here in Copenhagen. The cigar vent straight from 21C degrees in the humidor to -5C outside ? Would probably list the taste profile of this specimen a bit closer to the Upmann #2 rather than the Monte #2.

I think you're right on it.  I don't get much cocoa in my Diplo 2s either, no matter the temperature.  They're more like a marriage of Partagas P2 and HU No2.

How are those?  I've had a hard time deciding to pull the trigger on those at the premium.

It was good.  Interesting flavor profile.  I was getting gingerbread and honey.  EL's are so hit-and-miss with me.  Actually, mostly "miss", so I usually don't buy them unless I have tried a stick first.  But I like QdO, so I decided to take a chance.  I'm glad I did.

Still could be from the 1980s :)

But before 2002 they were machine made I believe.

Revisiting an old friend that I haven’t kept in my regular rotation in a long time, courtesy of @BigGuns.  I don’t know why I stopped buying RASS but this one reminds me of the good times I’ve had smoking these.  The beer isn’t bad either!

@B44, the Maduro No.2 is definitely close in size to the Petite No.2 but just a tad bit thicker.  This is my first PM No.2 so my experience with these is limited to just this one. I think the Maduro No.2 just starts with a blast of chocolate and peppered sweetness that endures the whole smoke.  It never tasted young even with a little over half a year of age nor did it get bitter on the finish.  The Maduro No.1 to me just isn't as intense from the get go and builds to those notes mentioned above.  With the No.1 I can always count on a 1.5hr smoke time and the milk chocolate sweetness I associate with it.  I have yet to try the No.3 as well so can't compare but hear it's the favorite out of the three to some people.  What did you think of the No.1 and No.3 if you've tried both?  Good luck in your search for the No.2 and don't second guess yourself as I've done in the past, add those suckers to your cart immediately when given the chance!

Now that’s what I call a testimonial. Thanks brother. Love the maduro 1’s. Picked up a 6er back in Sept and they were gone fast. Subsequently I have a box in transit that I can’t wait to get my hands on and see how they do with the hands of time.

No such luck yet for the 2/3.  But I’ll keep my eyes peeled on the 24:24. No flinching now lol
