nikesupremedunk Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Had the flu so this was my first cigar in a week. Probably the longest I went without smoking since I started back in May lol. Smoked my first RE - an 06 PL Lonsdale. I only had a couple PLPC's before and haven't had any other PL's but this one didn't seem to be anything like the PLPC's. Still a good smoke though.
Ophidion Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Six months since my last one. So much better with a much smoother smoke.
maverickdrinker Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 tried to smoke an 80s Punch Ninfa today. Unfortunately, it was PLUGGED!!!! GRRR..... 3 plugged cigars from different marcas in a week. Unreal!
kevinfj Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Vacation in Arizona. Friggin' freezing outside. Are you kidding me!!!!!!! This makes it better.
maverickdrinker Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 08 Cohiba Siglo VI.....just pure bliss.....
dangolf18 Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Full-bodied and complex...best smoke so far in 2013. Hay, espresso, cream, burnt caramel, tea. Montecristo No.4 UGA MAR 10. Keeps on getting better and better. 94 points conservatively.
Bartolomeo Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 98 ERDM Lons.....another classic example of how aging helps bringout the true flavors of ERDM 12 Dip #2....meh until the final 1/3 which was very good 12 PSD4.....very good, box has been very good to me so far which restores my faith in this cigar Bart
Strada Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 His and hers. Hoyo du Roi 2006 and Punch Punch 2010. First ever Hoyo du Roi for me and damn! That's a cigar that can kick your arse. Wow, even after 7 years its still powerful but smooth.
Strada Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 '98 Des Dieux. Not many left, but these puppies are tasty. Not sure if the rest of the box will last the month...lol So when do I pick up mine Shlo?
Pilgrims Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 An 03 Des Dieux that I was given, a little dry and dusty but very nice!
riazp Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 '10 RASSC yesterday afternoon while watching the seahawks game. Great cigar, great game...too bad the seahawks could hold on to their lead after an epic comback with 31 tics on the clock...smh
CBL Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Had a Parks & Recreation inspired day to celebrate the end of my exams for this period! Tried my first Partagas C No. 3, nice but a little strong. Very sweet & dark though!
Orion21 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Had a Parks & Recreation inspired day to celebrate the end of my exams for this period! Tried my first Partagas C No. 3, nice but a little strong. Very sweet & dark though! Hilarious!!! Where are the waffles?
Strada Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Smoking a great 09 BCE. Ash is white and flavors are on point It had this swirl of darker tobacco on the foot, never seen that before
Strada Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Wow, thats a lot of black in there. How was the burn? Cone like, run on one side or even the whole way through? I'm half way through and it is burning perfectly. No touch up
hdryder Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Weird, but lucky you. Every time I get a big dark swirl like that it does not burn evenly. Assuming the swirl has more oils so may be "wetter", but don't know for sure. +1
canadianbeaver Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 This is what I would call a "great news" cigar. I was mentioning in a thread the other day about a box of Punch Coronas that were dry and tasted awful. I attributed them to part of the 1999-2001 plague. Well turns out they were from 2007 and the first one was just a dud. A week in the cooler with lots of humidity and presto, the one I just smoked was terrific. *sigh of relief here*
