No no, didn't mean to seem defensive, just truly curious of your buying habits. I've always put el laguito on a pedestal but take good deal where I can so I'm wondering if im losing value by avoiding factory.

Especially so, in the year since my visit. They have quite the operation there. Cuba is not known for consistency or quality assurance in general, but the El Laguito management, who I talked to extensively, seemed to take a great deal of pride in their work, and that impressed me. Keep in mind, that this is the only factory I have visited, so I have no comparison. I just feel, and it might just be psychological, that my chances of getting a great box are better with an El Laguito code. That said, I have had some great non-EL boxes, and if the price point is right, I will buy them regardless of the box code. But it is always a win when I get a good price, as well as the code I am looking for. 4

Popular Post Bijan
Siglo V and hoyo DC. I think with all my rushing to get through the sampler I've fried my palate again (at least it happened after all the reviews were done). So a week off from cigars for me. Weather's going to be bad too.

Popular Post Fezztone
QDO Coronas Claro ROTT. Very nice and can tell it will age well. On the mild side but good smoke production, maybe a tinge of pepper on the first few draws but goes into crackers and cream thru the first 2/3rds. Battery on the KTM Adventure died so figured I’d smoke on the bike while I shop for a new one!
Popular Post Greenhorn2
should have left this sleeping. Epi 1 from 2017. I have a very slight head cold and couldn't taste anything but creamy tobacco with a saltiness evey now and then. Oh well.
Popular Post LLC
Two great cigars today, both at the top of their game. Cracked a new box of JL1’s. I think my first cigar with the MOL box code and certainly the best JL1 I’ve had. ARS AGO 18 Fundy. I’m about half way through this box and there have been some disappointing ones but the last couple have been great. Perfect construction and great depth of flavor. Popular Post RedLantern
Really nice evening for a walk here, dry and clear with no wind - plus, the mountain was out. Cold for here (high 30s) but no wrapper issues.

Popular Post BoliDan
Sig 2. Snowing and cold af. can't find where I put my leather smoking gloves from last year so I'm using my range gloves. Wouldnt recommend below 20, but holy moly they make for comfortable cigar gloves.
