Another DC tonight after a dinner cooked up for moms. She gets Filet Mignon, a touch over rare, with a reduction of Merlot, shallots, crimini mushrooms, and Irish butter of course. A great day I say. Oh and the HDM is spot on excellent so far. Cheers

Paired with one of my favorite Rye’s I see.  I love the HDM DC, looks like a great evening!!

First time at the BH for me. The store was weak on scotch and better on bourbons. This was the best rye they had. It's damn fine. And BTW The HDM DC 2019 is smoking down the house. Who knew?

I smoked one less than a year old. Was disappointed then (probably a dud). Bought a sixer from our host with 2 years of age (down to last one). Totally different from previous experience. It has the classic Partagas taste. I find them to be rich in flavors ( Woodiness, earth, cream, lil spice & hints of leather too) with some complexity.  

In my opinion, box worthy.

JUL-18 Epi2 from yesterday.  Smoked perfectly.  

Decided to bring the second screen out to the porch today.   ARS-ENE-19 Famosos. Buttercream, florals and cedar.  

Cocktails, Isla and the Masters.  Yummy flavors of dates, milk chocolate, boiled peanuts and vanilla on the retro. Have enjoyed these since they came out but they're really starting to come into their own.

Bolívar Petit Coronas ETP Mar 2017

I felt like a stronger, bolder-bodied cigar tonight so I settled for a Bolivar Petit Corona. I know that there are stronger Habanos options to choose from, but this particular BPC did the trick for me.

I've noted that my recent Bolivar Petit Coronas have been mainly cocoa, wood, leather and dried fruits in their flavour profile, this had less woody notes, more quality leather and was slightly more 'Earthy'. I still enjoyed it and smoked it down well into the final third.

Construction was 'spot-on', the burn was 'on-point' and the overall smoking experience was suitably 'sound'.  I don't need to add any more cliches to point out that I was well-satisfied by the end of the cigar.
