Mid morning break with Connoisseur #1. Was a single purchase, so no idea on box code or date. Sourdough and sweetness for sure. Matches the beautiful, surprise 60 degree weather!

I have some 46's in that some lifeless looking wrapper. I only smoked one so far and it was pretty terrible. Curious as to your thoughts on that smoke?

It actually wasn’t too bad. By far from a great example but acceptable.

H. Upmann Connoisseur No.1 BRE Nov 2018

It's rare for me to smoke two cigars of the same marca in a row, let alone two instances of the same vitola, yet here we are! The late BRE box code 2018 H.Upmann Connoisseur No.1s have been noted on our forum for utilising unfermented tobacco and been sour and/or bitter as a result and lacking in that typical H.Upmann shortbread flavour so it's intrigued me to see how many from my BRE Nov 18 box have been duds, fair, above average or outstanding.

Of the five sticks I've had from the box thus far, I've had one definite dud, one fair, two above average and one outstanding. This sixth one was outstanding from beginning to end. Not only was the construction pinpoint, the burn was immaculate and the flavours were 'right on the money'. Make no mistake, this was your typical H.Upmann cedar, coffee, shortbread and cream-textured stick and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I'm still intrigued by the box code so I envisage that I'll have some more from it in the next month or two.

I smoked a BRE Mar 19 a few days ago and it was perfect H. Upmann profile. Only a few months off from your box. It was a nice gift from @captaincaveman so I can't comment on the rest of the box.

In the middle of smoking this glorious BBF, (this kid was a 93+ point jewel), I get my Covid test results back and I’m positive.  Bonkers, only took the stupid test out of precaution after my travel last week.  Guess this will be my last stick for a while.  Be safe FOH.

Some warm weather, so the PLP needs a margarita.

Man, dry boxing these 2018 RASS sticks has made them so good.

This has been one of those boxes that has not really been on. This one has really nice flavors of vanilla and cream, but just isn’t on the same level as other cigars I’ve had recently. However, I’m a glutton for the laguito no 2 vitola and have 2 more boxes gathering some age. 88 pointer!
