PL Panetela UBM ABR 18. These are often really good, other times they are like this one -- mediocre.

RyJ Cazadores from 2019. Also mediocre, may need a few years to come around. This may be the closest CC to a Nicaraguan stick that I've had.

Partagas Short UER MAR 19. Always good, right? Typical Partagas flavors.

H Upmann Connie A BRE JUL 19. Third from this FOH clearance box from last fall. The first two were disappointing, but not this one -- great draw, perfect construction, mild unit it kicked up a bit in the final third, lots of shortbread, citrus, creamy... yes yes yes.

Quai d'Orsay No. 50 SMA Jul 2018

This 2018 Quai d'Orsay No.50 box has been much better, in general, than my 10-count 2019 box (which I've since finished). I had found, in general, that the 2018 QdO 50s have been mainly soft egg and butter brioche bread, cedar and ginger/toffee sweet in flavour whilst the 2019 QdO 50s have been more woody and spicy.

Today's Quai d'Orsay No.50, from my 2018 box, was actually quite good, light in body with flavours consistent with the recent re-branded Quai d'Orsay marca. I got an egg and butter brioche pastry core flavour, some ginger, cedar, toffee sweetness and roasted hazelnut. The only thing that let this cigar down was the thin wrapper which split around the band. It meant that I had to be more careful smoking past the halfway point, but I did manage to smoke it into the final third.

Overall, I'd say this SMA Jul 2018 Quai d'Orsay No.50 was still better than most cigars from my LMB Jun 2019 box. Hopefully next time the construction will compliment the flavours!

2017 PSD4 from a recent 24:24 . I could not wait any longer to try these.. they were superb!! But, they Will be better after a few months in the humidor.

This stick was excellent in the first half.. It was bitter in the second half. But, I think its because I tried one ROTT without acclimation. Will absolutely wait for 90 days now before trying another.

Montecristo 3 ROTT cinnamon with a bit of pepper.

RGP ROTT very sweet vanilla from the first puff. Bit of a loose draw but great flavour, 30 minute to a nub.

PSP box from our host. Started off quite mild and medium flavor, then intensity picked up during the middle. Can taste the potential, but believe another 3-5 years of aging will make this Espy even better.
