He snagged the penthouse when it came up for sale and he is a recent avid smoker so we have all been going over a lot lately for cigars. 1

Popular Post JohnS Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Punch Short de Punch TPO Sep 2019 These Punch Short de Punch have been usually so dependable for me of late that I was genuinely surprised today when this one turned out to be 'run-of-the-mill' ordinary. For me, these have been a noteworthy addition to the Punch marca on two accounts. Firstly, for a Petit Robusto it offers great value as they take quite some time to smoke and secondly, they embody the classic Punch flavour profile; that is sour cream, cedar, leather and 'Cuban twang', that sour citrus flavour which makes Cuban cigars stand out from Non-Cuban ones. This Punch Short de Punch still took some time to smoke but flavour-wise it was mainly cedar and some Cuban twang. Admittedly, I did smoke this on a very cold day (for my part of the world) whereby the sun hid behind the clouds and the temperature did not rise above 15° Celsius (59° Fahrenheit) even at midday. This resulted in some more draws than normal and a moistened cigar head which no doubt induced some bitterness into the flavours of the cigar. I think I will wait for a dry day soon before I light up my next Punch Short de Punch. I have every confidence that it will smoke very differently to this one today! 23
Popular Post lovethehaze Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Thanks @MigsG not for the faint of heart but if you like cocoa, slight vanilla and earth With clouds of smooth smoke... after the first few Puffs at least. This is a solid NC Tuesday 18 1
Popular Post RDB Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Couple of recent smokes. Bolivar PC was from a consistently good box MSU DIC 17. Not quite as funky sweet or complex as the best, but still good rich flavours and a fine slow burn. Vigia was the first from a RAG MAR 19 box. Loose draw but perfect burn and classic sweet tea Trini flavours. I have now sampled young boxes of these, Fundies (JUL 19) and Media Luna (ENE 20) and they all smoke well at a very young age. 22
Popular Post TheFullMontecristo Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Media Luna. Delectable. 20
Cjake75 Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 I’m stuck with a My Father. Still waiting on the good ones to come in. Loooks like Thursday!
Popular Post El Hoze Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Gotta laugh a bit at this banding going to this from an old HU Mag 46, but que viva Republica Domicana! Cigar is good, have not smoked many of these, got a bundle from the boss. Beer pairing was easy! 23
Popular Post djrey Posted August 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2020 Really been enjoying these lately. 22

Looks beautiful...was it young? I’ve only had 3 of those, but they were from a 2017 cab and they were pretty medium bodied and full of flavor. 3

I was smoking heavier cigars, Bolivars and Ramon Allones so that might be why it seemed so mild. It was mainly flavour. I'll have to revisit. 2

Popular Post Bijan Posted August 19, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 19, 2020 TEO FEB 19 Hoyo du Maire. My dad was over and wanted a cigarillo, so I went for the smallest cigar I had. Very good. Impressive smoke volume and flavor for such a small smoke. 7mm punch worked just right too. 22
Popular Post StogieSteve23 Posted August 19, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 19, 2020 Cojonu 2012 Sumatra Celebrated a winning primary election for my aunt tonight with good grapes and tasty leaves. BRE-NOV-19 Connie 1 with some Dom P. GEM-DIC-19 Unicos: Cornbread, fresh hay, raw walnuts with a little honey on the retro. Impeccable draw and construction, great burn. Thanks Ray @captaincaveman for this enjoyable stick. GOM-JUN-18 D6: My aunt is running for County Commissioner of our district tomorrow in the primary elections and I spent the last 6 hours or so putting out signs at polling sites all over our district in the county. Needed a little nightcap when I got home while catching up on emails and such. I reached for something small and poured some Michters US-1. This stick was a bodyguard from the trade I did with @captaincaveman. Funny thing is, we both gave the same bodyguard stick for the trades HA! I have a few left from a 2016 box and I must admit that the flavors from this one are better than any I got from the majority of the 2016 box. Black pepper (but not overpowering), soy sauce and molasses. Quite an enjoyable short smoke to end the evening. Thanks again, Ray! A few from this weekend. EOS-MAR-19 Non-Plus: Dusted chocolate and sea salty goodness. LMB-ABR-19 Perlas with coffee this morning: Sweet cedar, roasted chestnuts and cocoa. ESL-SEP-18 Mag 50: One of the best cigars I've smoked in a while... Sweetbread, honey, vanilla, raw cashews, cookies & cream. Hazelnut retro. Fantastic. Thanks @GVan for gifting this smoke. I'm a huge Upmann fan but this one hit it out of the park for me. Enjoyed it by the pool after doing some painting at my grandparents. 39
