I'm sure others on here would as well.

Popular Post StogieSteve23
SUM-NOV-15 with some Basil. Connie A is one of my favorites and better than the B, in my opinion. Found this box in Havana last year and this is only the second I've smoked from it. Razor sharp burn, flawless combustion and a beautiful wrapper. Roasted cashews, sweet hay, cedar and vanilla on the retro. There's an underlying "waxy" feel to the smoke on the back of the tongue but something very subtle and mellow. Pure class. I could smoke these almost everyday. LGR-AGO-17 with Nespresso.

Popular Post CampDelta369
My San Juan's and Rio Seco are sleeping deep in coolerdor, or somewhere safe. This No.1 is definitely a preferred RG for me which I picked up a 6er Of last year for tasting. Very nice. Smoked it through both bands with no touch ups. Excellent construction and interesting flavor changes. Nubbed it and never got hot. Cigar of the month

Popular Post JohnS
Romeo y Julieta 109 2005 - 130 Aniversario Humidor (circa 2005) Just like the Romeo y Julieta Aguilas I smoked recently, it's unlikely that you've come across a review on the Romeo y Julieta 109 before. Again, it's just as unlikely that you've even heard of it. If you haven't...don't fret! This cigar came paired with the Romeo y Julieta Aguilas in a Special Release 130 Aniversario Humidor, released in 2005. There were 250 Humidors made with 50 cigars of the 109 and 50 cigars of the Aguilas included. I was fortunate enough to get this cigar in a trade with @ATGroom, the proprietor of Cuban Cigar Website. Incidentally, the only other place that you are likely to cite a review on the RyJ 109 is on Alex's very funny Dusky Beauties blog here: https://www.duskybeauties.com/romeo-y-julieta-109-130-aniversario-humidor/ The Romeo y Julieta 109 - 130 Aniverario Humidor cigar is a 50 ring gauge x 184 mm (or 7¼ inches) Nro. 109, except that it is not (a numero 109 vitola) because it lacks the distinctive bullet head common on all Nro. 109 cigars. In his review on Dusky Beauties, Alex noted how it had dessert spices and a creamy sweetness. For me, it did indeed have a creamy sweetness to it, but not at all much spice. It was much like a cherry and coconut sweet dessert cigar layered with a soft, creamy topping. Simply gorgeous would be the best way to describe it. It wasn't as good as the Aguilas, and it did develop a small crack in the wrapper around halfway, but the cigar remained beautifully intact into the last third and was nevertheless exemplary. Once again, all that's left for me to do in this short mini-review is to thank Alex again for the trade and the opportunity to sample such a rare and magnificent cigar. 28

Popular Post Mcoad
Sweltering hot in Cgy this week. Took a break from work, hockey (my son’s hockey) and the heat to chill out in the garage with a cigar, a rum and a flick. The Connie B is surprisingly hitting the mark tonight. The rum is good and the movie (The Gentlemen on Netflix) is on point. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.
Popular Post havanaclub
Ripped though a bunch of this cab early and handed some out too, and after the last one I had probably about a year ago, I vowed to not touch the box for a while as I find these need time down to shine. This cab is ugly as sin but this sample is smoking very well so far. Reminds me of a HUPC. I won’t touch the cab again for at least a year... maybe MSA DIC 17 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popular Post cfc1016
After a long spell of only smoking cigars sparingly, I've been ramping my smoking back up, lately. Had quite a few today.Started my morning with a strong cup of coffee, and an equally, and surprisingly strong RGPC, from@awkwardPause . Really took memoff guard, as I'm accustomed to these being much more soft-spoken. Up there with the perlas, in terms of flavor intensity. Very in-your-face.Later was a 2016 fonseca no. 1, from@FatherOfPugs . Had to break this one into a few split sessions. While the light on the patio was right, I was designing some new "big boy coasters" (a forthcoming series of works from the wood shop), and the fonseca gently caressed my palate with recollections of subtly sweet pastries. As I fired it back up on my journey into civilization, to deliver a piece of artwork, it ramped up into an unexpected spice bomb. Almost like chili paste. Really surprising twist after 'act 1'. Had to put it down for a while. At the 3rd session, it reminded me of "that salted german soft prezel thing" I characteristically pick up in the final inch of most trinidads.I knew what had to be done. Out came the Trinidad coloniales that@awkwardPause gave me, some time ago. What a kaleidoscopic psychedelic journey of flavor! Allspice, cardamom, nougat, ebbing and flowing creamy mouthfeel, fatty/salty, wasabi-esque full sinus system spice, anise - all over the board! Somehow, inexplicably, all of that managed to gracefully segue into the aforementioned "german pretzel thing" for the last inch. I might've burned my fingertip.Capped the night off with my 3rd or 4th attempt at a box of TOS DIC 16 psd4s. As has been the case with previous examples, it was unfortunately a disappointment. There's this consistent "rawness" to the profile of every example I've sampled from that box. I've had them for about 18 months now, and it's been there for each example. Reminds me of the petrol-esque funk of a too-young cohiba genios. Just not my cuppa tea. Almost like an nc, though thankfully not followed by that characteristic nc "ashtray mouth" day-long aftertaste.First "big cigar day" in quite some time. Felt good, for all the ups and final down, to go through that whole gamut of flavors in a day, for the first time in a long time.

Popular Post cfc1016
Partagas PCE APR OCT 10 This one is all paprika and mild spices. DeliciousAlways good to see some love for the "cheap partagas petit corona" vitolas. Be it an habaneros, pce, super partagas, aristocratas, mille fleurs - i often feel this group of vitolas are some of the most underrated in the entire habanos catalogue. Along with, perhaps surprisingly, the chicos, i feel this group best demonstrates the "old flavor profile" of the pre-y2k tobacco strains. I greatly enjoy a slew of the "new strain" cigars, but smoking these (especially the aristocratas and pces) is like hopping into a cigar shaped time machine, for me.
