Never got around to the ERDM Infantes today as we were finishing off a new patio area that we are going to turn into an outdoor kitchen. Have a grill, going to get a smoker and then see what else I want to add. Told my wife if we got the patio done today I’d grill steaks. Still the finishing touches to do but the main part down.

We will be at our house next door for August, so it's not like we will be back in Jersey.  Well, I will be back and forth, but the family will still be out here.  The views from that house aren't too bad.

I have a full box of these "GT MAY 07"  that I have never touched yet because I feel that once I dip into them and start smoking them I will not be able to stop myself.

Excellent work!  Great looking little deck there and certainly a well deserved stick/dinner.  Love the grey/blue tones of the decking.

Received a box of SCLDH La Fuerza from our host in early June, box code LGR ABR 19. Due to Covid the cigars spent six weeks on the road before arriving in Copenhagen, and when making a sampler ROTT the experience wasn't really great - lot of harsness and bitterness.

Decided to revisit after 45 days in the humidor, and what a transition  Gone was all the harsh and bitter experience, exchanged with cream, pancakes and molasses instead - never thought a 45 days rest could make such a difference. A very nice smoke, and will be looking forward what the next 45 days will bring

Yesterday: Monte 1 on the course & Avo Syncro Nicaragua Fogata Toro at the beach.  Just sparked up a Bride with my new favorite La Croix which reminds me exactly of my moms homemade lemon cake.

Cohiba Medio Siglo TPO Jun 2019

What a difference a day and a different box code can make to a cigar! Yesterday I greatly enjoyed a UTL Nov 2019 Medio Siglo, today I had to slow-puff my way through a TPO Jun 2019 Medio Siglo. I was still able to get some nice notes of honeycomb biscuit out of this cigar, it's just that its potency was too intense for my liking, hence why I had to smoke so slowly.  I also got some butter and mocha coffee at times.

In the end, this was okay. The rich smoke and flavour at least made it a good 75 to 80 minute cigar. In fact, all these Cohiba Medio Siglos have been quite viscous for me on the palate, I've appreciated how they have all smoked for a similar length of time to smoking a Cohiba Robustos.
