Popular Post Monocle
ROTT. Couldn’t resist. Reynaldo Robusto to pass the morning. Can’t seem to keep my hands off of these. Pity I haven’t a clue when I’ll be able to restock.

Popular Post StogieSteve23
PGT NOV-06 No. 5 for breakfast. Needing something quick with this mornings coffee. This is the last of a box of 10 that has been anything but good. Most were fireproof sticks like trying to smoke a 2x4. This was was the same but I was determined to make it work. Pulled out the PD and went to work. I did squeeze a little hard and crack the wrapper, but check out the plug tobacco that was pulled from the cigar. That's why we love PD's. The draw truly is perfect now. Green tea and stale milk chocolate flavors. UEB AGO-17 Lusi. Started off fireproof despite having a great draw. Opened up after the 1.5" mark. Black tea, lemongrass and wet cedar with a slight fresh leather note. EDIT: Absolutely perfect smoke. Never a relight/touch-up needed. Impeccable construction. Perfect combustion. Razor sharp burn, great flavors. 2 hours of smoking heaven.

Popular Post torsion
Leopoldina Gutierrez aka ‘La China’ Salomones - NOV 17 As usual I've given away more of these than I've smoked myself! First try tonight and since it's been a glorious day I wanted to pick something larger. This does not disappoint, top notch construction (it's windy but look at that ash!) - as soon as I cut and took a cold draw I could tell this one would burn perfectly which it is.The blend is great, medium/medium-full to my palate.Lovely! The only other La China roll I've smoked was her lancero, gifted to me by Heri at the Partagas shop in November '17 when visiting for the Encuentro Amigos de Partagas.A #tbt photo included for reminiscing Reminds me of that trip with many great times and friends. Hope everyone's enjoyed the weekend Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

The perfect amount of sweetness, nuts and earthy notes. Always flawless construction on her part. I have about half a bundle of her robustos left and a handful of lanceros/pyramides left. How do her Salomone's stack up to other rollers like Reynaldo or Alex? I'm sure quite different as she's not known for blending fuller bodied smokes. I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as that smoke!
Popular Post JohnS
Saint Luis Rey Serie A MOE Oct 2014 It's a shame that Habanos S.A have reduced a marca such as Saint Luis Rey to one regular production vitola, the Regios. Saint Luis Rey as a brand established itself in the 1940s in the United Kingdom and did not do so in other regions, nevertheless, the Regios and the Serie A are quite different cigars, in my opinion, especially as these can be quite complex in their flavour delivery. I find the Regios more approachable young, yet the Serie A can really take you on a journey when smoked with some age on it, as this one was today. This cigar when aged can give you nuanced, subtle flavours and changes through the thirds. My most recent Serie A's showed notes of powdered cocoa, hay, lemon/orange citrus sweetness and apricot or peach stonefruit flavours in the first third, floral flavours and cream in the middle third and chocolate and espresso coffee in the final third. This Saint Luis Rey Serie A, at five-and-a-half years of age had more elements of the first third in it. The main flavours I got from it were cocoa, hay, orange citrus and a sprinkling of pekoe tea and spice. It was a finely balanced cigar and upon finishing it I lamented that I have only five Serie A's left in my humidor. I plan to enjoy them with a little more age on them yet.

Popular Post mtd057
Saturday night This afternoon I tried to light up this Connie A (REG Mar 2018) but not even my Perfect Draw could help! Redemption came from this Monte Edmundo (LMB Nov 2018). Lovely smoke
Popular Post BlueRidgeFly
A week of mediocrity. Some meh NC sticks and this disappointing Connie 1. Not sure why it was a let down, the rest of these have been good, a couple were great. Made up for it tonight with a PLMC LGR AGO 19 that was really good despite its youth. Trying something new recently - a Boveda 62 in a sealed box stocked with a handful of on-deck sticks, including this one.
Popular Post sw15825
Edmundos. UAO, AUG 18. Perfect construction, perfect razor sharp burn, not one touch up. Chocolate, leather, cedar and hay notes. Sweet cocca powder bomb. Building to nice strength in last 3rd. Its what i imagine Monte should taste like. One of the best sticks I smoked this year..

Funny enough I started doing the same thing. I store most of my sticks at 65 but now put some in a jar at 62. Im getting WAY better results.

Popular Post BoliDan
Ending the week with an ex #4. Always disappointing when there is no fruit in these. Getting cedar, grass and some coffee. It would be stellar if that is why I grabbed this ex4 in the first place. But I was looking forward to some red fruits. Alas. 28
