Popular Post StogieSteve23
A random Custom Cuban closed foot corona with this mornings Nespresso. Origin of the stick is somewhat unknown although its supposed to be a Reynaldo. Construction is spot on to his craftsmanship although a bit on the milder side versus his normal rolls. I know he tends to have a few strength levels now and this is similar to his lighter shade robustos that i've picked up there before. Earth tones like dried hay and clean tobacco, slight cedar and a buttered white toast finish. Perfect smoke to start to the day. Tatuaje Nuevitas Jibaro No. 1 for this afternoons smoke. These have been great since they came out a couple years back. Medium body - dark roasted coffee and leather with an almost salted McDonalds french fry note that lingers on the retro.

Throwback Tuesday to Monaco BBF- one of the stars of 2019, a cigar that I had not enjoyed until this past year, now I can’t keep my hands off them.

Popular Post JohnS
La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4 (circa 2016) At any one time it is said that one-quarter to one-third of regular production Habanos cigars is in hiatus. As there are 212 current regular production cigars at the time of writing (69 pre-1960 cigars, 120 post-1960 cigars and 23 La Casa del Habanos and Habanos Specialist cigars), you have to agree, that's quite a number of cigars (something like 53 to 71 cigars currently, based on that cited figure). The one cigar of all these in recent hiatus that gets mentioned the most on our forum lately is the La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4. But what exactly makes the LGC MdO4 so popular? I believe there are three reasons; firstly, it's a slim panatela vitola, one of the last of its kind in regular production (apart from the Por Larranaga Montecarlos), secondly, its the last regular production La Gloria Cubana cigar left (if you don't count the LCDH Inmensos, Piramides and Robusto Extra releases) and lastly, it tends to be a wonderfully complex cigar. This Medaille d'Or No.4 was indeed wonderfully complex. Gifted by @Luca (thank you kindly) and from circa 2016, the first third was all almond nut and fruit flavours, whilst the middle third saw more woody characteristics and the last third picked up in pepper. In the meantime, it was very, very satisfying. When will the La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4 come back, I hear you say? The last box codes confirmed on our forum were a little over two years ago (around March 2018). Your guess is as good as mine. One thing I can say, the reason for hiatuses is not always due to leaf quality or lack thereof. Sometimes its packaging issues and alternatively it can be a combination of both. Here's hoping they return soon! 31

Popular Post LLC
RAT DIC 19 Propios yesterday morning. Really enjoying these. I had another Alex Robusto earlier and again the construction was perfect. Overall a very good cigar. For my pre Canada Day celebration I am having a Esplendidos from some 3 packs I picked up in Cuba last October. Enjoying the first third now with an Americano and then have some rum waiting to have with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

These are the cigars that Pete Johnson and Pepin made to try and blend a cigar that was like a farm roll he had while in Cuba.
