RAS MSU JUL 17, ugly veiny pale with green dots sandpaper wrapper, it should not be let out the factory doors, not as LCDH release at least!

The RASS was stellar. Got the stewed fruit, got some cayenne pepper, cinnamon, cedar, etc.  Just a real flavour bomb of a cigar.

‘18 BCJ that’s also smoothened out. A little wet as I’m trying to work out my humidity, but still smoking fine.  Mostly a floral sweetness at this point, not getting the strong coffee and leather that the BCJ is known for.

MSU JUL 17. I actually like D4's with a lighter wrapper when they are less than 4 or 5 years old. These have been outstanding even though some sticks have water and green spots from the difficulty with wrappers and curing at that time. At least from what I've heard and observed. Some are just plain ugly but the taste is in no way affected on these cigars. 

UAO MAR 18. TODAY, MSU 17 beats UAO 18, 93 to 89.

What a beautiful cigar. You could tell it would improve a bit with some age, but knocked it out of the park even as young as it is. GREAT flavor, absolutely perfect construction - zero negatives, only potential. 
I could not get enough of this.

Glad you enjoyed it. It’s been a good box that hasn’t disappointed.  It’s a reliable cigar that doesn’t always come to mind first but when I do reach for it I always question why I don’t smoke it more often.

CampDelta - so, from the picture your dry-boxing at 58%?  I'm in FL with high humidity and have been trying 62% and not really seeing much improvement from my normal humidity of 65% rH in the Humi.  Been trying small steps .... My normal room humidity is about 57% and have been thinking about going to that instead of 62%.  How long have you been doing 58% and are you seeing a marked improvement in how your CC's are smoking?  Already read almost everything on FoH (and all of PigFish's posts) just looking for a little confidence ?  Thanks!

Tonight’s short smoke: Monte Media Corona TES MAR 17. I’ve had a couple of boxes, never loved them, but I’m coming round. The key thing is they seem to me an unusual profile for the marca. Much less on the cocoa side, less creamy and refined than the classic vitolas, more herbal and vegetal. I’m beginning to see them as a nice change of pace, a different aspect of Monte.

Ex#4 today from TES MAR 17. Coincidence but exactly the same code as last night’s Monte MC. These smoke like the most outrageous EL: dark, rich, sweet, slightly fungal. And they are about what, USD8-9 apiece?

Yes 58% is where I keep the traveldor now when I go to humid locations. I have also used the el prez fridge method. The outside environment really dictates the experience for me. My sticks are sitting at 66RH% in the humidor but I find 63%- 66% just fine. Your 62% sounds fine but it also takes time for Cigar acclimation when changing humidity. Especially a big humidor or tuperdor full. I have found HI to be very difficult at times on the tobacco. You may want to ask @Islandboyhis methods on long term storage. And to answer your question YES a definite improvement over not dry boxing when traveling to FL.

Would love to hear FatherOfPugs take on this as he seem to travel to fla on his vacations.  Spent some tims on the beach recently and the sticks were tasteless.
